He also seems bent on dismantling the checks and balances we have know as our democracy. All that matters now is loyalty to him.
Do you not think that Obama cared about loyalty.
Do you not think that Biden also cared about loyalty.
And does it not seem like their staffs have all been loyal?

How can any President run the Country effectively without some sense of loyalty from his closest staff? And yet, that is what Trump (naively) did in his first term, and many things fell apart, information leaked, persons 'back stabbed' and wrote books about him, even sabotaged his efforts. Yes, loyalty is important this time around. But he is certainly not the first President to desire loyalty. Nor will he be the last.

I don't credit Obama for having done much, if any, good, but I do credit him for choosing a loyal staff. Their loyalty afforded him the opportunity to accomplish much of his agenda.

I do not think Obama nor Biden let loyalty be the primary qualification.

Every President requires loyalty to them and their goals. It’s unrealistic to think otherwise. You really need to take a pray and see attitude and concentrate on other things.

I have a wait and see attitude concerning any political promise from any politician. We shall see. :praying:
Well, I am pretty ignorant and uniformed actually. I will watch and keep track. My main problem is his personality, his arrogance, bragging and exaggeration. If he were my neighbor I would avoid him like the a bad smell. Nor would I trust him at all. Enough said there. I think I have vented enough.

I'm worried about the enemies list he is putting together. Our country does not need a revenge tour which he has stated out loud he will pursue. Our country needs healing.
I'm praying that he gets in and gets some things done, Not jailing people who seem to have done nothing but publicly disagree with him.
I feel a pro-life Christian had no good options in this 2024 election, both candidates were evil, to paraphrase the Pope.

We aren’t electing someone as a minister, friend, or anything other than who we think will best lead the country and benefit the concerns of the American people. You don’t have to like them. But we are called to pray for them.

And on those concerns, lead the country and benefit the concerns of the American people, I don't think is best choice. But done deal now. Jesus tells us to pray for our enemies. This is close. But I also pray for the entire country and world at this fragile point.

It always is when you look at the whole but your decision to pray is a good choice. Worry is a hard thing to break. I’m the worst. But we know what Jesus said about worry. All we can do is carry on and lay our concerns at the Lord’s feet.

Lots of better, more qualified candidates for AG that are both conservative and loyal to Trump for consideration than this guy.
Who do you think would be better, as I'd be very surprised if Gaetz gets confirmed?
I can't think of other names, but some on message boards have been floating the name of Mark Levin.

I don't know if Levin would be interested, but do you like him?
I like Levin very much, but don't know if he'd even be interested in the position.

Gaetz looks like an evil Donny Osmond.I know his looks to not reflect on his genuine character but it just does not help in this instance with all the reporting about alleged behavior with teens.

Mark Levin would be a much better choice
I like Levin and have alot of respect for him and the work he's done. But I guess it really depends on what Trump is looking for in an Attorney General.

Gaetz can be very offensive (off-putting) in his ways. But he is mentally sharp, and he fights like a relentless pit bull. Could that be what Trump is wanting? I guess only time will tell.
