Elijah's miraculous deeds will be better understood if we remember that he had been an angel from the very first,
even before the end of his earthly career. When God was about to create man, Elijah said to Him: "Master of theworld! If it be pleasing in Thine eyes, I will descend to earth, and make myself serviceable to the sons of men."

Then God changed his angel name, and later, under Ahab, He permitted him to abide among men on earth, that he
might convert the world to the belief that "the Lord is God." His mission fulfilled, God took him again into heaven,
and said to him: "Be thou the guardian spirit of My children forever, and spread the belief in Me abroad in the
whole world."

His angel name is Sandalphon, one of the greatest and mightiest of the fiery angel host. As such it is his duty to
wreathe garlands for God out of the prayers sent aloft by Israel. Besides, he must offer up sacrifices in the invisible
sanctuary, for the Temple was destroyed only apparently; in reality, it went on existing, hidden from the sight of ordinary mortals.

In the Bible we have two Prophets who translated to Heaven, they were Elijah & Enoch (Melchizedek) but were they angels ?

We have Elijah who According to later Kabbalistic literature was really an angel in human form, so that he had neither parents nor offspring.
Then we have Enoch ( (Melchizedek) who too had a strange birth.

Were these the two angels that the disciples saw Jesus talking to ?

Are these the two witnesses whom we shall encounter during the last days ? I reckon so.

To be continued ......................

I don't.
Why should they be raised to be the end time witnesses for God? I view them as simply two of the 144,000, albeit; the ones in Jerusalem during the period of 'beast' control. Their job is to proclaim the coming Kingdom, Isaiah 66:19, Revelation 14:6-7
It is impossible anyway, as they get killed and E & E are now spiritual beings.

Kabbalistic literature

Christians choose which books we read from based on what books Jesus and the Disciples taught from.

Kabbalistic literature is not acceptable for learning. We have the Bible.

Here is scriptural proof that Elijah was not an angel.

1Kings19, Jezebel declared that she would have Elijah killed. So in verse 3, Elijah fled to Beersheba. In verse 4, Elijah, depressed, made the request that he might die, rather than face Jezebel's method to kill him. Read the last part of verse 4....

3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

Elijah was taken up into the sky or 1st heaven, he was not taken from this life. He was transported to another place on earth, like Phillip was.

This person explains this here so i do not have to type a lot Where did Elijah go?

Yes and prooves he was not an angel. He was mortal.

How do we know ? If he were an angel this would allow him to take the form of a person & to go backwards and forth to heaven at different times.

Look at when Abraham was visited by two angels, he thought they were human just like you & me.

Angels and humans are different kinds of created beings. Elijah & Enoch are human beings that were taken to heaven.

Humans taken to heaven are still humans but have been totally transformed (without sin)... such as will happen at the first resurrection.

The phrase “without father or mother” was also employed to describe orphans, illegitimate children, or persons whose origin was unknown. So the phrase by itself does not prove that Melchizedek was divine.

Melchizedek is not eternal in his own right, but in the narrative Melchizedek is made to resemble the Son of God, the only one who truly remains priest forever. Melchizedek is like Christ in the sense that Scripture does not provide any record of his birth, his genealogy, or his death. That absence of this information in the biblical account is used by the apostle to liken Melchizedek to Christ, who is indeed eternal.

The two witnesses ....

The two witnesses represent the Bible – both Old and New Testaments. The two cannot be separated. God’s people are called to proclaim the full Bible message to the world – “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27, NKJV).

The witnesses are pictured as prophesying in sackcloth during the prophetic period of 1,260 days/years (A.D. 538-1798). Sackcloth is the garment of mourning (Gen. 37:34); it points to the difficult time when the truths of the Bible were buried, and covered over, by human traditions.

It is the Word of God that bears witness (testament of Jesus) ... not human beings (we are faulty) ... the Word of God is not.

John 5:39-44 NKJV

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

We know because Elijah himself confessed his own mortality. Yes angels can look like men but they are not men. They are immortal, like we will become in the rapture/resurrection .

No.
And Enoch was not Melchizedek. He was the son of Jared, son of Mahalalel, son of Kenan, son of Enosh, son of Seth, son of Adam. He was also father to Methuselah. Angels don't have ancestors, nor children.
Melchizedek was in the time of Abraham - centuries later.
We have Elijah who According to later Kabbalistic literature was really an angel in human form,
Kabbalistic literature is not Scripture.
Elijah was a man, who ate and drank, got depressed and tired etc.

Then we have Enoch ( (Melchizedek) who too had a strange birth.
Enoch didn't have a strange birth, Genesis 5:18. We are told who his human father was.
There is no evidence that Enoch was Melchizedek - a man who lived centuries after him - and you have not given any.

Were these the two angels that the disciples saw Jesus talking to ?
No.

Are these the two witnesses whom we shall encounter during the last days ?
No.

Your right, Enoch couldn't have been Melchizedek. My apologies.

Read this strange story about Melchizedek.

Melchizedek was Shem, one of Noah's 3 sons.

Melchizedek was Shem, one of Noah's 3 sons.
Evidence?
Shem lived many years before Abraham. Hebrews 7:3 says that Melchizedek was without genealogy - whereas we have Shem's family tree in Scripture.

Shem lived many years before Abraham. Hebrews 7:3 says that Melchizedek was without genealogy - whereas we have Shem's family tree in Scripture.
Shem lived for 500 years after the Flood. Genesis 11:10-11

"These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood: And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years."

That was 150 years after Noah died. So no one remembered Noah after a hundred years.

"And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years."

Shem was still alive when Abraham came to Salem. Abraham was born 292 years after the Flood. Noah was still alive when Abraham was, but Noah died while Abraham was in Ur. Abraham was around 90 when he came to Salem. Noah died when Abraham was 58. Shem died when Abraham was 208, 150 years later.

It is all there in Genesis 9 and 11, if you do the math.

Moses wrote the genealogy over 500 years later. Why would they have known the genealogy after all were scattered at the tower of Babel? Shem was the founder and priest king of Salem. Since he was there for near 500 years, people had forgotten about the Flood and Noah by then. Shem was over 600 years old at death. Noah himself lived 950 years.

"And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died."

God never intended us to know him, and his word, through maths, hidden Bible codes or anything else.
He revealed his word through the prophets and, in the NT, set Jesus who IS the Word of God.

So if he's wanted us to know that Melchizedek was Shem, he would have told us.
