WHEN DID LUCIFER FALL FROM HEAVEN?
Dear brothers and sisters,
I would like to share a recent revelation I believe the Lord Jesus gave me concerning the fall of Satan (Lucifer) from heaven. I have not heard anyone preach this before, yet the Lord has probably revealed this to other believers who have sort Him, I also believe it biblically
disproves popular beliefs and is coherent with all related Scriptures.
I ask that you read the King James Version of each Scripture and if necessary, return to the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts.
I will add the topical Scriptures at the bottom so you can refer to them as you read my interpretation.
It has often been assumed that Lucifer (Satan) fell from heaven (according to Isaiah 14:12-14) before Adam was created (the pre-Adamite rebellion theory).
Dr Kent Hovind rightly discerned that this would bring "death" in before
man. Hovind points out this heresy and mentions that Lucifer was in "Eden" (Ezekiel 28:13) and was perfect in his ways until "iniquity was found" in him (v15).
Yet Dr Hovind assumes that this was when Lucifer was cast out of heaven.
Keep in mind that nowhere in Ezekiel 28 does it mention Lucifer being cast out of heaven. It does mention his sin, but not his banishment from heaven. Genesis 3:14-15 speaks of the curse of the serpent (crawling on his belly), but does not
Refute that the spirit of Lucifer (who is not subject to a serpents body) was able to fly. Satan is also known as the prince of the power of the air, and was able to go to heaven in the days of Job (Job 2:1-6) and accuse him.
Also, Isaiah 14:12 speaks of Lucifer falling from heaven, but remember, Isaiah is in the Spirit in verse 12(which is eternal, thus not limited or in time). Isaiah is declaring an eternal truth but not necessarily indicative or limited to his day, or the past).
Problem:
- If Lucifer fell from heaven in the time of Eden, then why is he in heaven accusing Job, in Job 2:4-5?
- Why is the dragon (Satan) fighting against Michael in heaven after the "man child" (Jesus) is born? (Revelation 12:5-7) If he was cast down at the time of the Garden of Eden?
- Why do readers assume Lucifer fell from heaven at the time of Eden?
- Considering Revelation 12:8 says there was no place in heaven for Satan and his angels, nor to accuse the brethren (Revelation 12:10), This would mean that Satan would not be able to accuse Job before God (Job 2:1-6) if he was cast out of heaven at the time of Eden.
Satan fell from heaven when Christ rose from the dead. Jesus says in John 12:31 "Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the prince of this world be cast out". I used to read and interpret this verse, that, Satan would be cast out of this world at Jesus time of death, but Jesus is saying that Satan would be cast out of heaven. Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) and had reason to be in heaven because he had power over death (Hebrews 2:14), yet Jesus being victorious and triumphing over death, caused that Satan be cast out of heaven into the earth. Jesus now has the keys of death and hell. Satan has no power or place in the third heaven.
May the Lord Jesus bless you in this study and enlighten your understanding.
GENESIS 3:14-15
14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
JOB 2:1-6
1Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. 2And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 3And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. 4And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. 6And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
ISAIAH 14:12
How art thou fallen from heaven O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground which did weaken the nations!
EZEKIEL 28:13-15
13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
JOHN 12:31
31Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
REVELATION 12:7-12
7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
