What verses are to be read at funerals?

The Bible doesn't prescribe specific verses to be read at funerals, but here are some ideas:

• "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
• "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.'" (John 11:25-26)
• "We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope." (1 Thessalonians 4:13)
• "For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (2 Corinthians 5:1)

I do not want the first and third read at my funeral.

I want the gospel preached so every attendant knows eternal life can be found and all they have to do is believe in God's resurrected Son.
