Last night I had a dream that I was about to go to hell. But it was weird. I would die, and then go up the stairs and go to the front desk where I would be told that I wasn't in the book of life, but going to hell instead. So when I heard this, I felt so upset so I ran down the stairs and forced myself through this barrier into the world again to escape. This happened 4 times in my dream. The 4th time, I thought I would be saved, but I wasn't but this time the barrier was much harder to get through. I ended up in bruises. And before each time I would die, I (think) I repented my sins, but I didn't even go to heaven What do you guys think about this dream? I recently re-committed my life to Him, but it's been a struggle with all the temptations around me.

The imagery may possibly suggest that the Lord is showing you what it will be like for people who think they are saved at the time of the rapture. They (think) they are going to go "up the stairs" (that is, ascend at the rapture), but in fact they will have to stay in the world.

When this happens (and people who thought they were saved do not ascend at the rapture) then they will indeed be very upset.

This happened 4 times in my dream. The 4th time, I thought I would be saved, but I wasn't but this time the barrier was much harder to get through. I ended up in bruises. And before each time I would die, I (think) I repented my sins, but I didn't even go to heaven

This might possibly relate to the fact that after the rapture it will be more difficult for people in general to trust the Lord. There will be more persecution and more danger. The fact that you "ended up in bruises" might possibly relate to the great tribulation, where many will be killed.

In all of this, I am suggesting that maybe this dream is not really for you personally. It might be a word for those who are about to be left behind.

I think this means that you are still fearful because you don't feel 100% certain of your salvation. When you re-committed your life to Christ was it out of fear or love? Its good to fear God but in a way of respect.

If your feel more fear for God then love then that could be a problem. I used to fear Him more and that was hindering my relationship with Him from growing, and so I always was doubting my salvation. Now I am focused on my love for Him and that has helped a lot, I don't doubt my salvation anymore.

Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit and ask Him to produce fruit in you. When you have the peace of God inside of you, you won't be as worried about your salvation because you will know for sure that you are sealed with His Spirit. Also ask Him to place the helmet of salvation on your head.


But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, (Galatians 5:22)

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit [d]wields, which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love [a]turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection]. (1 John 4:18)

Thank you for sharing your dream about Hell. Before I go through your dream and explain it to you, 2 years ago I was saved after God sent my Spirit to Hell. I accepted Christ later that night (had the dream in the morning) It wasn't by works over 28 years of my life but by Grace and Love for God in my heart that he knew before he even made me.

I would like to share my testimony of Hell and the following dreams/visions that I saw over the 2 years since I was saved. It can help you with your struggle with the temptations. I too struggled with them even after I was saved!

Now to your dream...

To me, the Lord was showing you in a time of urgency to all in this world that time is running out and he is now more than ever before urging people, Christians and non-believers to repent of their sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and savior so that you my not die but have eternal life!

The Lord was showing you that upon your death, you went to the front desk of Heaven as it would sem and the Lord said to you that "Your name is not in the Book of Life and that you are going to Hell"

As it was written in the Book of

Revelation 20:15
“And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

In order to be saved, to have your name in the Book of Life as Jesus said in

John 3:3
"Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again"

John 3:5-7
“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

So when I heard this, I felt so upset so I ran down the stairs and forced myself through this barrier into the world again to escape. This happened 4 times in my dream.

This is a tough one, it would seem that your only escape from going to Hell is going back to this world. But this world will pass away, Jesus' words will not pass away until everything comes to fulfillment. The only way to escape is to admit to God that the Judgement is right no matter how much you feel in objection.

I have heard many testimonies of people who thought they were doing good works for the Lord but instead they were severing their own needs. When they came face to face with Jesus in a vision they realized how much they hurt God and no matter how many excuses they came up with what they thought was good they saw how much the Lord was hurt and angry.

They realized this and came back after been sent away through the tunnel saying they understand I deserve to go to Hell I am unworthy like a dirty rag that should be thrown away. Only then did the Lord feel pity for them and he too was hurt and upset and he forgave them.

Of course every one is different and God judges accordingly so please do not take this as this experience these people had applies to you. I would pray to God, submit yourself fully to him and ask him to forgive you of your sins. Be a repentant sinner daily, after I was saved I didn't do this and God brought some Christians here on this forum to guide me to this teaching.

"There will be much rejoicing for the sinner who is repentant of his sins over the righteous who does not need to repent of his Sins!"

What a wonderful moment that will be for you when the time comes!!! I cannot in all my human feelings express how awesome it felt the moment I was saved!! That I surrendered my self to God and would be willing to carry out his purpose through me. His Spirit lives in me and it refreshes my body daily!

I too struggled with temptations even after I was saved! It took another more direct vision of hell to get the point.

Please keep your faith strong, denounce all evil and temptation! Do not at any point feel it is hopeless, the Devil feeds off that and wants to tear you down. Do not believe it! Trust in God and put your faith and love in him no matter how rough the seas get!

Read the word and ask God to help you understand and explain what it is you are doing wrong and what you need to do so you can "ENTER THE NARROW GATE!"

God does not want to lose any of his Children he loves you all so, so much! trust him, ask him in the name of Jesus! He will not fail you!

This is my first time I've ever posted in any forum, so I didn't really expect anyone to reply! So I appreciate everyones answers

To simplee_mandee, the reason why I recommitted my life to Jesus was because I had a panic attack a few days before (didn't have one in a long time), so I guess it was out of fear. Sometimes I would cry when I think about how much I love Him. I'm pretty sure it's happy tears, as I don't feel sadness. So now I will focus on the love I have for Him instead!

To WeWillSeeHimWhenHeAppears, thank you for your opinion I think that this dream wasn't just for me, but for others aswell (I agree with you there) so I can warn them. But it has truly been a wake up call for me!

Welcome to the forums I can relate as I am sure many others can too about struggling with sin. It took a while but over time the Holy Spirit that dwells within you is your teacher. He will tell you everything, he will give you strength. Over time the Spirit will enable you to overcome your sins.

No one is fully free from sin not until Jesus returns, but it comes down to will power, the will and determination no matter how many times you fall to stop sinning. It takes time and it's hard to explain but as time goes on and your spirit grows you will see the change within yourself.

For example, I decided not to write God's name in vain and to stop swearing. I said to myself "I want to stop swearing and cursing a lot" Instantly I no longer swear or curse! Even when I was in a certain situation I wanted to swear and guess what? The Holy Spirit put a not in my tongue and speech and I couldn't say a word! I could list loads of things that I used to do before, now with the Holy Spirit I am able to rebuke all those sins.

No one is perfect and everyone sins even without knowing it but God sees your willingness to turn from sin where as those who make excuses continue sinning. Also remember, do not doubt at all for one second that God has his limit with the amount of times you repent even if you struggle with the Sin! God knows and understands and he is there to chip away at your old self, your old sinful self and create a masterpiece exactly how you were meant to be.

Don't allow room for the Devil to plant the seed of doubt and things like "How can God love you if you keep on in sin?" Don't believe his lies! NO matter how you feel repent ask forgiveness, God WILL FORGIVE and he is there to help you even for the long run. He sees you turn your back on Satan and turn to him for help, showing him you no longer want to sin and you need God's help!

He will help you Just remember If God is for you who is against you? He loves you, you are his daughter and he will never reach his limit and say enough no more, he is your father he made you and he loves you!

Yeah, that used to happened to me too. I used to get bad anxiety attacks and sleep paralysis but it helped me to see how much I really needed to put God first in my life. Sometimes bad things can be flipped for good by steering us in the right direction.

Its okay to be afraid at first but we can't stay afraid or else it will start to hinder us (Proverbs 1:7) . Aw thats good to hear , Jesus makes me want to cry out of happiness too but sadness also when I think about how much He had to suffer. Usually I start to cry when I read about or watch a movie of Him getting crucified.

We got to focus on His love and trust in the Lord with all our heart. God will take care of you and lead you in in the right direction (His will). He won't let you perish, and if you start to mess up he will give you a tap on the shoulder and say "wake up my child!"! Lol I feel like thats what He does with me sometimes.

Also another good thing to pray every night is for Him to search your heart, and to make you aware of anything that your doing wrong so you can change it and please Him (Psalm 139:23-34).


Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
(Psalm 139:23-34)

It's really important to understand that not all of our thoughts are our own. Satan (and his demons) do not have the ability to read our minds or to know what is in our minds, but they do have the ability to put thoughts into our minds. So if you receive a bad thought, it may not have originated with you.

That is why Paul says,

"for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

In short, to actually have a bad thought pass through your mind is not a sin. To entertain it, however, is. So that's the demarcation point. The point at which "dwelling" occurs, is the point of sin.

There was a man who was plagued by thoughts of suicide and he did not understand that the enemy was at work. This man was a minister of the gospel. He finally found deliverance by learning to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and some of the things he learned will likely surprise you. He also did not realize that the enemy was actively involved in his situation.

He wrote a book on it, 'Christian, Set Yourself free.' His name is Graham Powell. This man really understands spiritual warfare like very few understand it. I highly recommend this book.

Something that may help is focusing on Jesus love for you rather than your love for Him. Our love for God is imperfect but His love for us is perfect, & it's perfect love that drives out fear.

• "Doing this and that and going to church and whatever is enough

• "I'm not perfect I hope the Lord will forgive me I've done bad things in the past"

• I go to church, help out with the school Choir, organizing the Nativity Scene in home town and getting people to understand the meaning of Christmas and learn about Jesus

There are quite a few reasons I could list down that my parents and sister tell me why they feel the path they are in is right and they don't need to change.

The ones along the path are those who hear,

They hear the word/seed/God's message and also God uses me to delivery the word/seed/God's message to them...

...but then the Adversary (Satan)comes and takes the message out of their hearts, in order to keep them from being saved by trusting it.

They also say things like "Richard, you do not have the Holy Spirit in you if you do then I must have it too! You are just talking to your inner self, making excuses to do what you want and saying "It's from God"

Other times they say "You are so Spiritual I want to be like that!"

As you can see this is a perfect example that they do hear God's message the word is delivered to them but they stray from the path.

True, I do I pray all the time for them all, for everyone even if I am in a queue at a shop or on the bus I pray for those on the bus. I never used to before

But sometimes I have to keep reminding them and a conversation pops up or situation and they want answers or explanation then I again I will tell hem.

Wow this has been inspiring and very uplifting. I appreciate so much the words of encouragement for our brother. Every single one of you have brought a word from God to inspire gg2146. We all struggle with sin and bad thoughts. As WeWillSeeHImAsHeAppears pointed out satan often is the instigator of our thought life. My husband and I had a pastor friend who has gone on to be with the Lord now, that preached about the thought life and one thing he said that has stuck with me is this: "you will grow what you focus on" In saying that you really have to change your perspective. Focus on Christ and the truth that He loves you and He paid a huge price to redeem you. In my own life I have struggled in my thoughts and God in His mercy began to instruct me. Paul said it so well I think, O Wretched Man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death. Romans 7:24. You have to come to a place that you realize that there is nothing good in you. Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Paul was saying I have this desire to do good but I have this flesh that doesn't want to. The bottom line is this, we are capable of any sin imaginable under the sun and to believe otherwise is to take the cross and the price Christ paid for us and throw it in His face. Christ told me that I have no righteousness outside of Him. If I focus on what is wrong in my life I cannot focus on what is right and that is that Jesus bought me and redeemed me with His blood. The point I am trying to make is this: If you have sin confess it, He is faithful to forgive you. Then leave it there and focus on Christ. The more you focus on Him the less satan can invade you with his thoughts. Focus on Christ righteousness and repent of your sin which means you agree with God about your sin. Do not let the enemy rob you of your peace, he will I know this for a fact. When he comes with the temptation agree with him and then tell him that Christ paid for that and I am redeemed. The more you do that the less he will bother you.

In my dream I was talking to my sister about a call I had (I don't remember what the call was about but I am guessing it was not good) She then looked up the meaning and she was said it was a sign I was going to hell. I was shocked and I said " I am going to hell!" and she said with a sad face "yes" I was trying to tell her the call didn't mean anything and that it wasn't real, but in the back of my head I was scared.
