The Bible does not specifically answer this question. Will babies and children who die still be babies/children in Heaven? What about elderly people who die--do they remain elderly in heaven? Some have guessed that babies are given a resurrection body, seen in 1 Corinthians 15:35-49, that is “fast-forwarded” to the “ideal age,” just as those who die at an old age are "re-wound" to the ideal age. This would indicate that there won’t be any children or elderly people in heaven.

What is the ideal age? Again, this concept is not specifically biblical. Some believe it to be around 30. Some guess 33 since that is approximately the age Jesus was when He died. First John 3:2 declares, "Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."

One thing is for certain. Whatever age we appear to be, we will be gloriously perfect. Our entire person will be remade flawless, wholly and completely Christ-like. We will lose all trace of human fallenness, wearing the white robes of purity, holiness and absolute perfection. So whatever age we are, it will be the age of complete and total perfection.

In addition, the bodies we will have in heaven will be spiritual, imperishable and immortal, in contrast to our human, perishable, mortal bodies, as recorded in 1 Cor.15:44, 52-54. The inseparable duo of the spirit/soul is eternal, from when we are born, throughout all eternity, without aging and glorified from the time we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, as documented in Rom.8:30.

I actually had a dream once while fretting and praying about abortion and agree that they will appear about 33 yrs old the peak of maturity and those older will appear as equally handsome silver hair and all, older but with no restrictions at all of age as in the flesh . Not necessarily gospel but I'm satisfied .. :amen:

I'm guessing the entelechy of their DNA potential. However, Jesus appeared with His wounds, and somewhere I've gotten the idea that will be the case of all martyrs for the gospel. I seem to have read something about the wounds of the martyrs being honored in heaven.

Could be but I hope Jesus is the only one with the wounds, I'm hoping the ones decapitated and what not are restored and appear with their earned and awarded crowns perfect, only humanly speaking and understanding imo .. That the martyrs carry some kind of distinguishing beautiful mark for distinction is certainly not out of the question though, again imo . Same as those who suffered physical or mental problems will be restored to supernatural beauty and perfection with a maybe a small beautiful mark of distinction to be proud of, unique and awesome to all inhabitants in Gods heaven .. Just idle conversation and thought

I'm expecting we would see the wounds as though healed miraculously (which they would be) but the scars still visible.

As you say, just conversation and thought.

one thing is certain, namely that the true God will hardly harm/hurt us in any respect, therefore it is certain that there will be no problems with anyone in the "heaven", and if for example the need for growing up has been a problem, then there will not be such a problem in the "heaven"

Blessings

The resurrection of Jesus is IMO a one of a kind unique phanomanon for very clear reasons of God. That Jesus was recognized by more than 500 persons over the 40 days He spent on earth after God raised Him from the dead. Even so, He appeared in a room with His disciples when the door was closed and locked.

Jesus' resurrection can't be unique or we have no certain hope of resurrection ourselves.

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. -- Romans 6

The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later.

Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man.
-- 1 Corinthians 15
