Trying times are all around us,
Circumstances, they confound us,
Memories past they sometimes hound us,
Give them all to God, He’ll help us.
Hurtful memories often linger,
Raw emotions they may trigger,
Makes no sense, but so go figure.
God is sovereign, and He’s bigger!
Sometimes people unforgiving,
They’ve not been where you are living,
Not in Christ are they believing,
Listening to the lies deceiving.
Can’t turn back the clock, no matter,
People filled with empty chatter,
Lies about you they may scatter,
While each other they may flatter.
Give them all to Jesus ever,
Trust in Him forever after,
Let them go, embrace Him rather,
Life in Him is all that matters.

P.S. We are always to forgive those who have hurt us, who have done evil against us, and who have slandered us falsely. Sometimes the Lord may say for us to leave, and to move on, and sometimes he may say to stay and to keep persevering in loving those who do not love us in return. And sometimes he may even lead us to return to where we have been mistreated before because he wants to use us there again in people's lives.
