"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." (Colossians 3:15)

To me, this means to trust our Heavenly Father that He is committed to personally ruling each of us His children in His very own peace in us. He pleases to personally guide each of us, all the time, since a ruler is in authority and control 24/7 :) And we are called to this "in one body"; so this is not only for certain super-heros. But this is part of the basic calling of all Christians.

And therefore we need to not trust any thinking or decisions or feelings or emotions or conclusions or reactions which are not in the ruling of God's own peace in our hearts. But be committed to discovering and trusting how God's peace clears us and makes us clear in how we see things.

"Test all things; hold fast what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

For me, Leroy, this means to trust God. With God, make sure about what is good and what is not good, including in making social choices and other choices. He does desire to personally communicate with us and guide us in all things > "continually" (Isaiah 58:11). And this is in His peace, as Colossians 3:15 indicates to me :)

Also > God is able to use any thing for good for us - - - and for others > He is all-loving; so how He handles things will be with His all-loving result. So, we trust Him to make His all-loving use of any good or hard situation. Therefore, instead of just being tested by things, test those things, with God, for the good He pleases to do with them :)
