Timely measures are His treasures
That He gives to make us better.
Much is needed to make holy
Those who follow Him so closely.
God is sovereign over all things,
Holy living to our lives brings,
So He takes us through our trials,
Some which come now through Belials.
No escaping hardships plenty,
Thinking we should not have any,
For they’re promised us in measure,
So, they’re not for our good pleasure.
Yet, suffering is for our good,
Throughout the Scriptures understood,
We die with Christ to all our sin
So we can now live sure for Him.
By faith we walk in righteousness,
For in Christ we are surely blessed.
But when we do, some will us hate,
For persecution is our fate.
