There is no reason to discuss "facts"

I don't want to hear about the importance of discussing "facts" anymore. Why? Because everyone knows all the known facts already, and so there's no reason to further discuss them. Don't believe me? Then why can I answer any question anyone has with a factual answer, assuming the answer has been discovered. Go ahead and try me.

What we need to hear is the opinions, testimonies, and feelings that people have on issues... That's what maybe we *don't* know... And need to hear. So we can discover new facts in the future, that haven't been discovered yet.

Does this make sense?
No. Because the first exercise in any discussion is to agree on the facts. To differentiate between the truth and lies. Then, and only then can you discuss various opinions on them.

I think there's smoke here, but there's a more important question that requires addressing for discussions to be fruitful. I'm not sure there is an agreed upon set of facts that would be unassailable, and more often the important questions are what we make of data points rather than what is factual. Notions of evidence and criteria for truth often go unspoken, but don't seem to be things we can take for granted.

John 1:8 addresses individuals who claim to have no sin at all.

Next question.

Everyone knows all facts... I do! Ask me anything and I will prove it.

No. It is not factual.
Now, do you want to wait there while I make up a list of people who say that it was a fact?

I'm actually not going to bother, but you know they exist. So discussing an opinion with those people on whether immigrants who kill people's pets in Springfield should be deported can't get off the ground.

The OP's position is a worldly and evolutionary position founded on the study of cognitive biases. The idea is that our human brains will just distort the data and facts based our preconceived notions and cognitive biases anyway, so all facts must be used to support a particular agenda. Ironically, they support this position and presupposition with a bunch of facts and scientific data, which undermines the whole thing - after all, aren't they distorting their view of their own data to say that we should all support our own agendas and abandon the idea of truth?

This is the evolutionist position supported in The Mind of the Market, and it is the secular academic position, as anyone who has ever had to write an essay for the benefit of a state university professor can tell you. The thesis statement (opinion) is constructed first before actual research is done to support your morbidly ill-founded opinion. This approach of essay writing is antithetical to common sense, which is that research should be conducted first and an opinion formed based on what the facts actually are, from primary and secondary sources and the writer's own experience.

The actual truth is closer to what Paul David Tripp writes in Chapter 3 of Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands: human beings are designed to hear truth from God and use that to understand the world. Where God's truth does not walk, there is unknown. And human politics, therefore, contains a lot of unknowns. However, we can use what God's truth says and observations of where God's creation stands at any given time to come to beneficial approximations. Those approximations are called opinions. And observations of God's creation? Those are called facts.

Therefore, a productive discussion may include both facts and God's truth, because, since believers in Christ have the truth of the God's Word and the Holy Spirit, they can view the data and the facts correctly without imposing an agenda of their own on them. The fact that some believers have neglected to learn this skill does not mean it cannot be learned. Therefore, we have no excuse for taking on an evolutionary "assume failure" philosophy.

You also have to agree on definitions.

You also have to agree on definitions.
Also, the facts are directly inspired and written in Scripture by the One Who Never makes a mistake.
But the world hates Him!
No one in the flesh is able to understand anything of Him, spiritual.

You're incorrect, and that's hard to do when you weren't given any options!

I'll be nice though, and give you, Nithavela, the secret to uncovering all the known facts in the universe. All you have to do is say "hey google" on your cell phone, and it gives you a detailed, AI generated fact-statement, that’s very accurate and relevant to any question you ask it, along with sourced links.

If you had read what I wrote earlier, about *everyone* already knowing the facts, you would have posted something more relevant to the conversation.

Now don't sit there and tell me you only want to hear about facts, because I'm going to tell you to go play with your phone, because now we're talking to people, the ones who come up with the imaginative ideas to build phones.

I want to know what people feel. I want to know what they imagine, and what they think.

....Those are the real gems. Facts are simple.

Math is simple. You don't even need to type the digits anymore, in this modern time. You just speak the problem, and the solution is spoken back, with visuals as an added bonus. Like "what is the square root of 94"..? Here it is, and how to do it.

LOL, see this is what I LOVE! Understanding your mindset, observing your reactions and that’s me learning from you. But not just you, others too.

To me, watching you is better than facts. And it makes a difference knowing that you are an intelligent person. You've helped me grow in many ways in the past.

Is that why you post complete nonsense? To watch people's reaction to it?
