The proliferation of false versions of those prophecies officially recognized by the Church—such as the secrets of both La Salette and Fatima—is reaching incredible proportions. Pseudo-prophets and prophetesses are everywhere (and especially on the Internet). That is why, our Savior Jesus Christ begins His apocalyptic discourse in the Gospel according to Matthew exactly with this warning:
And a little later, He reinforces this statement:Take heed that no man seduce you: For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many (Matthew 24:4-5).
