The Promise of the Land to Abraham and his Seed Genesis 13:14–15

The following gives a summary of the Gospel that Philip and Paul preached:
Acts 8:5–12 (KJV): 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 28:23-24,30–31 (KJV): 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. 24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. 30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

In both of the above, the gospel that they preached contained two major areas, the things concerning the Kingdom of God and the things concerning the Name of Jesus Christ.

Part of this teaching includes the promise of the Land to Abraham and his seed:
Genesis 13:14–15 (KJV): And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: 15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

Paul alludes to this promise of the land and other promises to Abraham in the following:
Galatians 3:8,16,26–29 (KJV): 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Thus he taught us that Christ and the believers would inherit the land that Abraham was called upon to view.

Kind regards Trevor

Abraham’s covenant had multiple parts,

The gospel -in you shall all the nations be blessed

Temporal - and i give you and your descendents after you this land as an eternal inheritance,

The part paul mentioned was the gospel aspect, the land aspect is seperate, it is only given to those born of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, non of the other descendents (saved or not) had part in this aspect.

A gentile could partake of this part of the aspect, but they had to go through specific things as mentioned in the old covenant (the law) but it was only open to Israel

I do not believe that the land promise is separate from the gospel, but that it is part of the gospel. The occupation of the land by earthly Israel has only been partial and short duration. The land was promised to Abraham for ever.
Acts 7:2–5 (KJV): 2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, 3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. 4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. 5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
God promised the land to Abraham, and as yet he has not received this land. He will be raised from the dead when Jesus returns, and then he will receive his inheritance.

Now if Abraham will inherit the land at this time, then the believers will receive the same inheritance at that time. I will simply repeat the following, and there is no basis to separate the land promise from the other promises to Abraham:
Paul alludes to this promise of the land and other promises to Abraham in the following:
Galatians 3:8,16,26–29 (KJV): 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. Gentiles are united with Abraham and Christ by faith and baptism and do not need to be associated with the Old Covenant.

Gen 17: 19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

Gen 15: 12 Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. 13 Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. 15 Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. 16 But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”

Please try to study everything, Abraham was told he would not possess it. However he would be buried their

His descendants would be slaved in another land (Egypt) and return after the sin of the current owners has been completed (400 years)

Genesis 17:19 and Genesis 15:12-16 certainly give more detail of what would occur after the death of Abraham, but could you please show me where Abraham was told that he would not the land that he was promised in Genesis 13:14-15.

I believe that this promise speaks about the necessity of the resurrection of Abraham from the dead, and this will be when Christ returns to raise all the faithful and give them the inheritance of the land with Abraham.

The land was promised to abraham

Repromised to issac

Repromised to jacob

Time and time again, repromised to jacobs 12sons and all their descendents. Which proves it could not be part of the gospel, in lev 26 god even gives cycles of discipline if the descendents wer disobedient, up to and including military defeat.

That is not part of the gospel

No, Abraham was promised the land and he has not yet received it. He will receive the land when he is raised from the dead at the return of Jesus.
