The meaning of cars in dreams

I had a dream of cars about a new friend that I'm just getting to know. In the dream he brought me to the driveway of his house/ the house where he grew up. the garage was a 2-3 car garage, and so the driveway was wide, with the street that the driveway leads to being on the side of the garage (as opposed to the garage facing the street). Don't know if that all means anything.

Anyway, what I remember is simple. HE showed me homemade racing box cars made of tin maybe, painted black. One had a satin finish, looked older and the other was new, glossy with a white stripe down the middle. He let me try to older looking box car and I went ahead towards the street. He was about to get into his own box car, explaining the box cars (I don't know now whether he meant both were like this or just the newer one) moved slow and the range of motion (turning left or right) was restricted. I think he was about to fix something with the new box car. THen I woke up.

Cars in dreams have many different meanings.
They can symbolize church or personal ministry,warfare,battles or personal life.
There are lots more meanings but I'll just stick with those I have written. In your case this could symbolize your personal life seeing that you said you have just met this person.House means your own home,person or family,securutiy or insecurity.There are many other meanings for house to.Well I hope this helps a bit.

I've heard of them representing personal ministry also. It applied to a dream I had once, but I don't remember it any more.
