Does anyone know anything about this denomination?

I looked it up in wikipedia and not much info there. Also went to their denomination website and not much info there.

Does anyone have any firsthand info? Belifes/practices, etc?

They are not part of Cleveland, TN or Mt Assembly, or Anderson, IN. This is a different one.

For what it's worth... a quick google search came up with their national headquarters website http://www.thechurchofgodua.org/ , but it doesn't have much info other than a directory of churches.

I honestly do not think you know as much as you think you do. The Church of God of the Union Assembly is a wonderful place of fellowship and love. If you have never been to a service at one the churches then you are missing out. It's not about the lights and glamour and how big can you build the church or how many people you can pack on a pew, but whether those there are receiving what they need from the Lord.

let me first of all say may God bless you and now a response about the church of god of the union assembly if you would still like to know about the churches or any questions about it i would be more than glad to answer them for you i have been going there all my life and one belief we have is showing directly out of bible if we show you something we will also give you the verses and explain it please feel free to write and ask anything i dont sign on very often so please be patient may God bless you

I don't know about the church or the people going there but it sounds like they have a serious problem with the leadership!

I just recently stumbled upon this website and found the blog for The Church of God of the Union Assembly in Dalton, Ga. Unfortunately and sadly enough, all of CTR442's comments are true. I was once a member of this cult myself and I witnessed so many things that were not of God: taking money from the poor, lying to the members, being made to worship a family by the name of Pratt. All of my familly's money that was donated to the church went straight into the pockets of the Pratt Family. They always drove the finest cars, wore the finest clothes, had the biggest diamonds on their fingers... all because of the poor and needy members that paid for them. These members were ordered to give like this as the Pratts were the Family of God and the way into Heaven. We worshipped a FAMILY, not GOD. God didn't seem to be anywhere in their equation.
I saw people humiliated and mistreated more times than I care to remember. I watched people that I loved die because they were forbidden to seek medical attention. Funny how all that changed in 1990 when one of the overseers' sons (by the last name of Pratt) almost died of pneumonia. This man was going to step down from his position in that church so that he could take his son to the hospital but the general overseer, Jesse Jr, quickly changed all the rules of the church and then made it permissible to see a dr. And mind you, this was only until a PRATT child faced death.
I could go on and on and on, but what's the use? These people are so brainwashed they think their church is the ONLY WAY into heaven. What about the other 7 billion people that live on this earth? Is God just going to turn all of them away and put them in hell? The answer is no, because the God that I know does not work that way.

This church has done nothing but good for me and my family. It taught us how to be good, honest, God fearing people, with good morals. Anyone that can appreciate good honest people doing there best to make Heaven there home, not a hypocrit, would love this church. This church teaches exactly as the Bible shows us how to live so if you have a problem with that then you have a problem with the Bible and yes you would have a problem with this church. Sounds like some people just like gossiping and making up stories which the Bible has plenty to say about. The Bible says souls were added to the church daily such as should be saved, not such as were saved. You don't go to church because you are already perfect, you go to get that way. No, the church isn't perfect but we are striving daily to get that way. We all make mistakes but "Thank God" he is merciful and doesn't give up on us but keeps on chastising us to keep us on the straight and narrow way. God created and gave his only Son as the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be forgiven of our sins. There would have been no reason for him to have hung on that awful cross and suffered the pain he did if God had not known that there would be a generation of people that would make mistakes and sin. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive and get over your bitterness before judgment day. I don't want to see anyone lost. Hope to see you in Heaven some day.

I was not raised in this church. My father left the church before he and my mother were married. I would visit occasionally with my aunt and uncle...and I grew to love the people there, and I established my relationship with the lord. I have no doubt that without this church I would be lost. I would hate to know that I discouraged someone from really getting to know the lord because I was filled with hatred and bitterness. Maybe, since you say you haven't been in a long time, it would do you good to maybe darken the doorway. If not of our church, then one were you feel comfortable to worship the Lord. You seem to be a person intent on trying to tear down the work of God and his children. I pray that God will fill you with His love for mankind and that He will lead you back to A church. Especially in this day and time EVERYONE needs the Lord. May God bless you and your family Mr. Roberts.
