The Angel and the Devil on your shoulder

I often perceive the cliche of the Angel on one shoulder and the Devil on the other, both whispering in my ears.

The funny thing is, to me, the Angel is on my left, and the Devil on my right, yet someone told me it should be the other way round - supposedly because "left" was associated with evil, and "right" is, well, "right".

Looking at various media, I see it's abut 50/50 as to who is on which side.

What about you guys? I'm just curious. Angel and Devil. Who's left and who's right?

Angel on the right and devil on the left except for when I am depressed then it is the other way around I have the devil telling me lies and the angel trying to tell me the truth up the depression won't let the angel be heard because the devil is to loud . Make since ?

It depends on who is talking the loudest, or being the most convincing .

I perceive whoever is being the loudest/most convincing as sitting on my left shoulder, while the other is muttering unconvincing words on my right shoulder.

No right/left here. There is a mental voice that sounds just like my voice that knows just when to suggest evil. The good voice is not a voice at all, but more like a sensation or mood change that makes me know I am doing evil.

I am probably just nuts, but I swear the sin voice is so much easier to listen to, and until I became a believer I never even heard/felt the opposite. Now, I have a choice, I can let the sinful voice create a string of evil suggestion that leads to action, or I can turn my self towards that sensation of holiness. I have a choice NOT to sin now. Praise God.

Have a read of Matthew 7:13-14
It basically says sin is easy, and most people choose that path. The path to righteousness is more difficult, and the few diligent and determined people take this path.
