I like this one.

This next one is way too much.
Small, subtle if any - is enough.
But i liked the art work.

Too big again - but nice work.

bashert" in the ancient hebrew script, rashi.

If you met your soulmate and you both liked to
share a tat - thats a good one ^

Hebrew word meaning love - nice idea. I know Greek has a few
different forms of love - not sure about Hebrew.

“I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.”

“take the world, give me Jesus”.

Well, i liked the art - i didnt like the size.

I really love skin over ink. Like really really.
Tats bother me because it covers skin and i like skin.
I dont know why.

However; if i got any - it would be on my back so i couldnt see it and small.

BTW bill - Catholics are allowed to get tats.
It depends if you like them or not.

Leviticus 19:28
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

context
that was to people who were surrounded by cultures that used cutting as a pagan rite

Leviticus 19:28

Old law.
Sorry - i know that scripture - and it was written BECAUSE the pagans were doing so - for pagan reasons.

It was not a strict law but to avoid the 'in thing' the pagans were doing.
I dont have a total recollection of the problem of the time - but there was a problem.

Kind of like - dont wear red hats because it's a gang sign.
To understand scriptures fully - one must understand the era and culture.

Thats where so many christians outside of the Church make errors regarding scriptures.

BTW bill - Catholics are allowed to get tats..
I never said it was forbidden.

I'm just wondering why people would permanently graffiti their own bodies with things they wouldn't be caught dead hanging on their walls. It's extremely bizarre IMO. Far worse is people doing it "because everyone else is doing it." Sheeple. ugh.

I like the cross behind the neck - and the bashert symbol - if i were to remarry.
Which might go on my back over the heart.

I dont like sleeves or huge tats.. as an artist - i prefer skin.
Tats - kind of distract me too much.

Tattoos are trashy. People who get them have no regard for there bodies.

The word of the Lord doesn't change. God's commandment not to mark our bodies is eternal.

so you never have shrimp or bacon?
you never wear mixed fabric?
you never do any labor on Saturday?

I have flirted with the idea of a tattoo. Some pretty elaborate but it is not happening. The closest I would come is on top of the foot or ankle. But I am way too finicky. They are getting so good with these temporary tattoos now that if I felt the urge in the proper venue I'd be more likely to do that. I see so many men and women that have them and it is a rarity where I am truly impressed by the art and placement. Not to mention the damage it can do if you are not wearing the right outfit.

An RCIA friend if mine got a rosary tattoo after conversion. I could tell my priest thought it was gross. Although he tried to be polite... I could see he was not pleased.

i had a temp once around my arm - and i was constantly swatting at it when i did dishes or gardened.
couldnt get used to it.
i thought it was a bug... and that tat lasted almost a month.
i couldnt have one in view - so where i said is all i could manage.

i heard it suggested by a priest in a Q&A forum - not to put holy symbols on ... but i forget why.

It was on her wrist. It was not attractive.
the only things i can handle permanently - my kids long lasting in outliving me with a holy desire for God, marriage to the right person til death...
and for real - Heaven.

i could, if i had to, tolerate a tat on the right person.
but in general - i avoid guys with tats.
so many find it attractive now. like so many of them - it's like where the crap is the skin?
i seldom see too many without.
sleeves?
one very attractive guy [younger than me] who is/was interested in me - had tats all over - and i kinda said 'im not into them.'
and i dont much care for younger guys...no matter how very good looking they are.

i feel bad because i feel like the bad guy for not liking them.
i dont understand why i prefer skin. i just really like it.
