Those are the only three letters you can get out of Solomon and besides that he was the wisest of all Kings that have ever lived.

The Lord let him make a mistake to teach him his wisdom ... The mistake was to let his some 500 wives worship the gods of their choice (for many of them had come from other nations).

If Solomon had of renounced God ... My Lord would never have let him have such a big foot print in the bible.

April fools day came about from the change of the beginning of the year. April 1st use to be the New Year and when they changed it to January 1st ... every one would go around chanting April fools to the uneducated that didn't know.

I might agree that ppl idolise tv and such...but also the Lord can use these modes of entertainment to bring good. [Spiritual programming, news to aid others...]

God gave man the intelligence to create these nifty modes of transportation...it is man who makes the mistakes of idolizing them.

Because of cars, priests can hopefully get to someone in a mortal situation faster.
Same with Ambulances...and firetrucks.

Solomon might have caused the wrath of God upon his nation, but I leave Revelation to itself to unfold.

Paul does not teach the same theology that Jesus taught. He advocates payment for priests and sets up church traditions just after the existing ones had been denounced by Jesus and after he told his followers essentially to renounce money and possessions. He was not an eyewitness (he only heard a voice) yet the present day religion is based on Pauline theology. The result has been cathedrals built by the poor, who have been oppressed by 10% tithes - that is where the present day church has come from.

I went to the website (substituting periods for commas) and found that the author believes that Paul is a false apostle. There's a thread in the apologetic sub-forum of Theology that addresses this issue.

I think the guy's had too much caffeine and been in front of the computer too long.

There is no proof for any of his statements.

The website is backed up by the words of Jesus, and by substantial proof - not just from the Bible. This post is backed up by the first 666 names in the Bible (Solomon is the 666th), the quote in Revelation "Here is wisdom" and the fact that Solomon had 666 talents of Gold in one year. It is also backed up by the story of Adam and Eve and the original sin.

You do not understand the historical context of this verse. Ancient Hebrew as well as Greek did not have unique symbols for numbers. Instead, their alphabet served a dual purpose for both words and numbers. When Revelations speaks of the number of a man, this is written by a Jewish man to a Jewish congregation who would understand the significance of this. It is indeed the counting of letters to spell out the name of a man. It is not Solomon.

It was written for both, but John did not know that at the time. Thus, the address to the churches that existed at that moment in time, which also represent churches in the future.

It also was not my wisdom that brought me to this conclusion, but scholarship of those who have much greater knowledge of scripture than I. I can give you links if you like.

Regardless, why is it important to you that this interpetation be true? We must test prophets, (those who speak forth the truth). Why do you assume that this person is a true prophet of God? Have you tested this? Does this person believe in Jesus Christ, his birth, death, resurrection? Does He call a man of God the anti-christ? Paul is the anti-christ??? Solomon was also a man of God until he failed at the end of his life, but he is symbolic of the anti-christ?

Tell you what, find any ancient Hebrew alphabet online, and number the name of a man called Nebuchadnezzar. He is a far greater anti-christ type than Solomon.

Finally, it is not JUST the number of a man, but the number in of itself is significant. The number six represnets sin and fallen man. The number 60 represents idol worship, and the number 600 reprsents war. So, the antichrist will be a warmonger who requires himself to be worshiped. I can prove this.

In any online Bible, KJV version, find the number 600. It must be written exactly six hundred even. It cannot be six hundred and forty five for example. You will be surprised to find that the number 600, spelled six-hundred is found exactly 66 times from Genesis to Revelations. In nearly all cases, the number 600 is in reference to war. Six hundred men of war or the like, for example.
