"Sola Fide: Luther and Calvin" by Phillip Cary
A great article (imo) that contrasts the Protestant/Evangelicalist view of Sola Fide with the Confessional Lutheran view. An Anglican himself, Cary strikes at the heart of the matter as he examines the object of our faith for salvation.
Note: Some may take issue with his characterization of Calvinism, and that may be valid. Possibly he was using the term broadly, as in "Protestantism in general as influenced by Calvinist thought." His same characterization (basically, Protestant non-Lutheran) would probably, or even more accurately, include Arminians and Amyraldians.
