Peace in Christ.
Again, the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God is not being understood by those who have their minds blinded by the “god of this world/age”....their serving of their "belly"...their earthly-mindedness.
These “preachers” are not preaching the gospel of truth as they cannot understand it…..and they perish with this lack of knowledge of the gospel His people that they are "preaching" to are also perishing from a lack of the knowledge of the gospel. They are taking down many with them to their mortal destruction.
2Co 4:3-5
(3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (PERISHING):
(4) In whom the god of this world (AGE) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
They are preaching for themselves….to fill their own bellies….to get their earthly needs met. They are earthly-minded while they “preach” themselves.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
They mind earthly things…what to eat, what to drink and what to wear...as they preach for these things.
Their “god” is their belly. Their end is destruction as they perish mortally from this earth (without inheriting “eternal life”…that is, an age-lasting life). They do not receive the glory of God upon them. Their “glory” is their shame.
Php 3:18-19 KJV
(18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
(19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
They do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ…but instead their own belly. They use good words and fair speeches to deceive us.
Rom 16:17-18 KJV
(17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
(18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
They do not understand the truth of the gospel….and so the Son of man (the manifestation of the life of Jesus in our mortal flesh) has been has been in the heart of the “earth”.
Their earthly-mindedness….the serving of their own belly...the "heart of the earth"… has blinded their minds to the gospel of truth of which they are not preaching to their congregations.
And so the manifest life of Jesus (the Son of man) is being actively prevented from appearing to the world as they have no understanding.
The Son of man has been in the "heart of the earth"….their earthly-mindedness where they have no understanding of His gospel so that His life is never made manifest in the flesh of anyone they are deceiving. They perish. They are forgiven though because they know not what they do. His sacrifice (3 days and 3 nights) covers their sins.
Mat 12:38-41 KJV
(38) Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
(39) But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
(40) For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(41) The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
“This generation” refers to the unbelievers of the truth of the gospel who will continue to think that they are pure in their own eyes (their eyes of understanding)…and will not wash from their filthiness. They will continue to follow after their own lusts for earthly things….continuing to preach “give, give” and still never have enough. "this generation" will be proud against the hearing of the gospel of truth. They will continue to devour the poor.
Pro 30:11-15 KJV
(11) There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
(12) There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
(13) There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
(14) There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
(15) The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
As Jonah said, they reject their own mercy and will not renounce the handling of the Word of God deceitfully for their own gain….preaching for their own belly. They will continue to follow after their own lusts even while the Son of man is being revealed.
2Co 4:1-2 KJV
(1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
(2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
And so the people of Nineveh shall rise in the judgment of them. The people of the outside world shall believe when they will see the Son of man revealed to them and it will condemn the unbelievers among the churches of men. The unbelievers in the churches of earthly-minded men will see the people of the outside world repent and be converted (the sign of Jonah(. "This generation" will see the sign of Jonah.
The Lord calls those who are preaching for their own belly's sake. We must hear and renounce the hidden things of dishonesty.
We must drop our evil teachings...our nets that we catch unsuspecting people with. We must immediately cease preaching for "gifts" ...the ship of "Zebedee" (meaning "gifts" of "giving"). We must leave those things behind...the preaching for gifts (give, give). We must leave that "ship" behind with the other "hired servants"...those who are continuing to preach for earthly necessities. We must immediately leave those things...renouncing those things...and go after Him so that we may be true fishers of men.
Mar 1:19-20 KJV
(19) And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
(20) And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
