Significance of demons in my dreams?

Do you think there's significance in occasionally dreaming about demons? I will dream a similar dream usually about once every 2 months. I'm in my house or unknown location and I discern the presence of a demon but I can't see it. But knowing it's there I then shout bible verses and the name of Jesus Christ to provoke the demon to manifest and then it eventually does and is full of rage for me doing so. I then wake up.

My wife also has similar dreams about demons more frequently than me. In her dreams it is always demons manifesting as family members such as her mom, sister or me. She'll either speak to what she thinks is a family member and then walk into a different room and then see the same family member she thought she was just speaking to in the previous room in the next room and then realise the person in the previous room was not a family member. Either that or the demon manifesting as a family member will look with a mocking smile in response.

Any significance in these or just random bad dreams from the mind?

It can be hard to know what to say with a valid question such as this which can be demonstrated by how it can take a period of time before someone replies.

About all I can suggest is that you and your wife consider talking to someone who you respect who can provide you with a bit of insight. This is a good example of why all of our Full Gospel congregations need to ensure that they encourage members to seek to operate in the areas of wisdom, knowledge and discernment as there will be times when we all need to seek out assistance from numerous brothers and sisters.

There are simply far too many times where our rational knowledge and expertise fails to address our needs.

There are plenty of areas that are unknown to the majority of believers, plenty of uncharted waters, in your case its of places yet unreached.
Go forth with the knowledge that God will be there to teach and protect you as you go.
It goes beyond the personal, you go for the benefit of others.

I took a STREAMS course on interpreting dreams and learned they are mostly symbolic. That said, demons in a dream can symbolise things like temptation, being harassed, or some sort of demonic activity in your life. That type of dream is usually a call to pray and ask Jehovah to expose it.

Since the demons in your dream start off invisible, but you can feel them, then I would say the dream is about hidden dangers that you are trying to expose and then deal with.

So she is dreaming about doppelgangers, it sounds like. (And, FYI, I have known people that have experienced in real life what you've just described as her dream.) But from the dream stand point, it seems like maybe she has some underlying fears about people being two-faced, or concealing a second nature within them, or being deceitful in their dealings with her.

That depends on what you mean by "significance." Bad dreams usually aren't just "random." They can come from our fears and anxieties about what might happen or from things that have happened to us in the past. Anything that you have ever heard or seen in your life can show up in a dream, because it's there in your mind somewhere, even if you aren't thinking about it. And let's face it, the world is full of bad stuff that we regularly see or hear. So our brains have a lot of fodder to toss in there, especially if we are feeling vulnerable about something else already. Coming from a Christian background, demons are a negative thing about which you have heard and discussed, ect. So it isn't that surprising that they turn up in bad dreams, from that perspective. Someone who had never heard of a demon before probably wouldn't dream about one, or their dreams would contain a parallel equivalent based upon what they do know.

If by significance you are asking if they are warnings about present or future circumstances or challenges, you are going to need to take that up with God. He knows.

Thanks

I forgot to mention she is 9 months pregnant. Whether that has any baring I don't know.
