Should we pray for angels?

I think the angel is the messenger sent to serve the church, rather than one of the leaders.

We should listen to the message the angel brings to the church in our city, rather than praying for them!

In my experience, not many people listen. There was a prophecy given over and over, several times by an angelic visitation in this city, I gather for the past 35 years. Few Christians paid any attention.

:)

Ummm, no. It's written to the pastors of those churches. It's written to the 'messengers who bring messages' to each church. It's not the type on angel that was with God when the world was formed.

When you read the letters, you'll find things directed at these "angels" which does not apply to the created class of angels, such as repentence, being put to death, fear, inprisonment, departing their first love, etc.

You can find several instructions given for us to pray for our pastors and those in leadership over us, but you won't find instructions to ever pray for angels.

We are told to pray for our leaders, and in Revelation we see that it was not actually seven churches written to but rather the angel of seven different churches that were written to. So when we pray for our Pastors, should we not also pray for the angel at our church?
We should pray to God for angels of God to be victorious in warfare and that He should intervene in spiritual battles. But for angels... they have no need for our prayers (since God is the One who dictates their movements), lest our prayers for them should become excessive devotion, obsession, and worship.

If the angel at each of the different churches written to in Revelation were only messagers and not assign to the church, then why send a message [aka letter] written to them?

And is it not written that He will his angels charge

Ps 91:11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To gaurd you in all your ways

This does not sound like just a messager that shows up and leaves, but more like a pastor that brings a message once a week and ministers to us. All angels are ministering spirits, but if an angels is "at" a certainly location, and a letter is written to the angel which clearly is for the entire congregation at that location also, then viewing the angel as a messager that shows up an leaves and does not have any responsibility [ or charge] concerning that location does not seem logical at all.

If praying for angels leads to excessive devotion and possible worship on them, then it would also only figure that praying for our pastors also leads to excessive devotion and possible worship of them. I don't doubt that some people do worship their pastors instead of the Lord, but to say that praying for someone means that we would worship them doesn't make any sense does it??

I pray for a lot of people, but I worship the Lord. Indeed, that is why I pray to the Lord for them!!

So the logic behind praying for someone [no matter who] would lead me to worship them, sounds more like fearing the devil instead of trusting in the Lord.
