As i was praying this morning at 6A.M; the Lord spoke to me and said two sentences in Hebrew:"Shalom Aleikhem!", and then He said again:"Shalom, Baruch Hashem!" So i woke up and decided to comprehend what the Lord was saying to us like Daniel did in Daniel 9:2. So i took my bible to find out what the Lord was truly saying to us.
Shalom Aleikhem was used the first time in Genesis 43, the brothers of Joseph were afraid for their lives, they thought that they will die.
Gen 43:23 And he said, Peace be to you (Shalom Aleikhem), fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.
So Shalom Aleikhem means Peace be to you, or Peace be upon you. the Lord is saying to you, fear not, concerning, your health, the health of your brother whatever his name might be her it was Simeon, but put the name of your brother there. the Lord is saying Peace be unto you! Shalom Aleikhem: wholeness be unto you, soundness of spirit, soul and body be unto you, restoration of your finances be unto you and your brothers for the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks, and furthermore i bring to you your brother Simeon from the house of bondage.
whatever is the storm that has come your way and is shaking your boat and you feel like all hope is gone and you and the people are about to perish, The Lord is telling you: Shalom Aleikhem!
Recall the time when Jesus was with his disciples in the boat:
Mar 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Mar 4:38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mar 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Jesus is with you, Peace be upon you!
Now what about the Shalom Baruch Hashem, that the Lord Spoke?
i'm glad you asked, i've almost forgotten about it! Adonai is one of the name of the Lord, but the Jews only use it in prayer, but in everyday conversation the jews do their best to not use the name of the Lord in vain. so they use Hashem which mean: The Name and in Leviticus 24:11 we see Hashem being translated as The Name of the Lord. so the Jews will used Hashem to mean he Name of the Lord to avoid using Adonai in their conversations.
Baruch means blessed, thus Baruch Hashem means blessed be the name of the Lord! Jews from the early age were taught and are still taught to answer question: how are you doing? how are you holding up? by : Baruch Hashem! meaning: "i'm still alive and i am with God, blessed be the name of the Lord!"
carnal minded Jews, those who do not have their mind renewed by the washing of the water by the word of God, were and are still frustrated when you give them such answer, because they want and expect you to lift up your problems certainly not lift up God and His word. they ask you: we have heard that you just lost your job; or your loved one has been admitted in hospital, or you car broke down, or you did not get that promotion, the medical people said it was incurable, inoperable, etc; and their question is how are you holding up?
But you answer: Baruch Hashem: "i'm alive, my loved one is alive and i am with God, blessed be the name of the Lord!" The lord is the one who told us: Shalom, Baruch Hashem! He is our peace in the midst of the storm, he will restore what has been stolen from us, He will, make us whole, He will heal us, and he will prosper us for that is the meaning of Shalom, as for us we will bless the name of the Lord!
whatever is the evil report we might receive from the world we have decided to believe the report of he Lord and He will reveal His power unto us (Isaiah 53:1). he told us: Isa 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
therefore brothers and sisters take courage for thus says the Lord: "Shalom Aleikhem! Shalom, Baruch Hashem!" so be it in your life, in Jesus' name. Amen
