Now I had a discussion about masturbation before but now I'm thinking is [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] or any other sex toys that pleasure someone whether they are married or not, is that a sin? Or something you think God doesn't approve?

What about someone who is celibate? Do you think they would still be considered celibate if they do have sex toys and use them often?

I think that masturbating with or without [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]/sex toys is not a sin - there is nothing in the bible that says it is a sin but I do believe it could lead to sin and perhaps should be avoided if possible.

Celibate means not having sexual intercourse and that is what you have with another person, not toys so, yeah, they are still celibate.

just my oppinion, but my wife and i have a few toys, no we dont want anybody else, nor do we play that way, but we have been married for more than 8 years, and it can get a little dull at times, so it is fun once and a while, while we do not watch porn in any fashion, we had to come up with something diffrent.

i agree with threeinone on this one, they are not technecily having sex, however. it really depends on who is interpting this as to how it can go also.....

I don't have any problem with spicing things up in the marriage bed. (of course no porn,etc..) But when you asked to about them not being married if thats ok...I want to say no cause 1st Peter says to stay aways from orgies & carousing...but I am not sure...maybe some one else will have a better explanation.

I think it comes under the fruit of self-control, so I say it's not a good thing.........
well I agree and I know everyone is gonna hate me on this thread too but I'm not gonna say much. lol In marriage, I've always thought that handcuffs, etc being ok along with various positions etc. Like he said it could get dull. But [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] and stuff I dunno, that used to be really weird but due to the society we are in its accepted. I wouldn't simply because Love is the key not pleasure, and I want to please my wife with me and me alone. And any toys that involve 'other areas' is blatant sin and perversion.
Look at all my masturbation posts and you'll see my stand on stuff like this.
In a nutshell: Married? eh maybe maybe maybe if its with your partner. But I wouldn't. Single? No way. Thats a lack of self control and a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] or a fake female organ is hardly just relieving stress. Whats celibacy if you're still masturbating all the time? Thats kinda making the point moot.

No one is going to hate you bod

You have given your opinion, what is right for you, what you would like to be right for everybody. Unfortunately, not everybody feels the same. I am not into sex toys but I can't really fault somebody else who thinks it is okay.

Celibacy is not having sexual relations. I would like to think that someone celibate would not use sex toys but somehow I cannot deny that it is a personal choice.

Can you talk about this to Jesus?
If He was in your living room right now would you talk with Him about it?
If you can answer these two questions you will find your answer.

If Jesus was in my living room personally, this would be a whole new ball game. Everything would change and it is not an answer. It is hypothetical and hypothetical answers nothing because no one ever knows the answer to a hypothetical question until it becomes a reality and then the answer in most if not all cases would be different.

It is easy for someone to say "I would never......." but when it becomes a reality, they probably would. I know because I've been there, done that. I know many people who have been there, done that. They would never do it, but they did when it came around down the road. We change constantly and cannot know for sure exactly where we will stand some time down the road. We know where we would like to stand but that is all.

I don't mean that in terms of where we stand with God and our Christianity.......but in terms of specific events, specific happenings, how we might react under different circumstances such as Jesus in person next to us.....if Jesus was standing in person next to me, I would probably freeze until I realized it was true and my next or even first reaction would be to touch Him so I would be healed.

I just realized your actual question. Sure I would talk with Jesus about it. A lot easier than I would talk with you about it. I know Jesus loves us regardless and wouldn't make me sound like a gross piece of trash. Besides like I did say, I would touch Him and be healed and there would be no need to talk about it.

Yes Stan I would ask Jesus and I already have. As far as my celibacy He would rather for me to not have any sexual pleasure whether if its masturbation or a toy. Also with the guy I'm interested in marrying I think it’s even inappropriate to kiss him. Be careful because something that might seem innocent can open a door for Satan to come in.

Yes, I can, and I do talk to Him about sexual stuff all the time (well, as often as I think about it). I have my limits, my girlfriend has hers, and we have ours, and we talk about it and pray about it. I/we are probably a lot more... "liberal" than most when it comes to stuff like masturbation and toys.

I'd say if you feel too awkward about it, don't do it. But don't knock it either - your concience a good compass. It's probably too sensitive or too dull.

If you think masturbation is not a sin, I don't know why toys would be.

I agree with you one hundred percent. I believe celibacy is a refraining from sexual pleasure or else you really aren't sacrificing that much! (thats debateable I suppose but I'm sick of debating this stuff! lol)

I don't see toys being a problem. What causes problems for me is where you have to buy them and what you even accidentally see when purchasing them. Just makes me uncomfortable.

Interesting. If you are in a store buying sex toys, what would make you uncomfortable. Then again, I can almost imagine.
