I was sent some videos from a close Adventist friend on one of the teachers of the Sabbath School lesson on 3ABN, Ryan Day. From what I have seen from what he says in the video, as there is much, is that he feels Ellen White is just another Christian who really has no place in being listened to other than good counsel, and he is shocked to find out 3ABN wanted him out. He seems either naive or no true understanding of what his words say, especially when he says he doesnt think we need to be changed before the end and ready to come perfect before God.

He had two main complaints according to his youtube vid
1. The Pre-Advent, investigative judgment found in Dan 7 and promoted by Adventists
2. The gift of prophecy in Numbers 12:6-8, and 1 Cor 12 -- that is claimed for Ellen White among Adventists

He does not appear to understand either one.

But interesting that he says he came to Adventism in 2011 and was almost immediately confronted by material by Des Ford and other people at 3ABN who had some similar doubts as Ryan is now publishing.

While I don't fault him for asking the questions, I do question the quality of his research to try and find Bible answers.

What gets me is 3ABN knew about his views early on and as you can see in the video he didn't think it would be a problem at.least as far as being director of music. It seems either they aren't concerned on spiritual matters as one would think or there is a great deal of confusion on his part thinking it was just a job with no standard or core beliefs just.lip service.

The "director of music" issue is a little different.

In the first case - they had a non-SDA as director who had no intention at all of bashing SDA beliefs , charging SDAs with not being Christian or attacking Ellen White.

In the second case - they have what amounts to a soon-to-be-X SDA with a bit of angst and it would only be a matter of time before that leaked out in some way. In the second case - people commenting in the text box had every right to suppose that Ryan was SDA and that they could quote something from Ellen White - and Ryan would not be upset by it.

My issue with most ex-SDA's is they never get past it. They spend almost all their time attacking SDA's being in constant negativity instead of moving on, spending their time spreading the gossip in how they view it. I never hear them try to lead anyone to Christ, their mission is to lead people away from the SDA church, I find it strange. Considering all the videos of Ryan being about anti-SDA's it seems like he is taking that same path. Maybe its the only platform they have, to be an ex-Adventist.

I do appreciate that his brother has remained SDA and believes in the SOP and 2300 and Ryan said he's brothers views are his own.

I think 3ABN needs to do a better job at vetting people. I rarely watch them, but love the addition of Pastor Rafferty.
