I’ve had Reiki training and will clarify a few things on the subject.
It is important that you understand the difference between demonic possession and oppression. They are not the same and both are a reflection of legal rights the evil one has which are usually the result of sin or spiritual harm.
A Christian may experience oppression which is external harassment. This may arrive as the result of good deeds or bad. If you’re standing in prayer on a difficult issue warfare may ensue. Spiritual warfare is a kind of demonic oppression. But so is habitual sin. Particular those where repentance has never been done.
But possession is another matter altogether. The evil spirit has seized control and the vexation occurs externally and internally. It is in the driver’s seat. This is a serious condition that requires significant violations.
However, much like Job, the Lord has a say and won’t permit the situation to go beyond the limits He’s set. Those who have delved into the occult, taken oaths, pursued divination, or struggle with addictions are more susceptible to this phenomenon and may draw evil presences to them.
Reiki hails from Eastern practices. If you’re familiar with Chi or chakras you’re dealing with a similar concept. It is presented as a beneficial way of maintaining clarity, balance, and a form of healing.
Practitioners routinely subject themselves to attunements. These are energy transfers made from one source or a serious of people exchanging energy with one another. The connection between the two can develop ties which are frequented by evil spirits.
It is a bastardization of laying hands. And the transfer from the host exposes the recipient to everything that has attached itself to that person. As you can imagine the infestation can be great.
When I attended training we ended with a cleansing. However, something went awry and the individual had difficulty clearing my chakras. She required assistance from another and the instructor.
The visible struggle they endured was startling to witness. Something was preventing them from performing their task. Needless to say it was the Most High acting on my behalf to prevent the harm they’d bring.
I was not in Christ when this took place but nevertheless He was watching over me. I do not advise anyone to travel this path or introduce Eastern practices into their lives.
You are exposing yourself to practices which appear harmless to the unsuspecting. But their root is in darker elements that aren’t revealed until later on.
The spirit guide is a popular term found in New Age circles. It is described as a helpful spirit who provides guidance and support. Oftentimes communication takes place through clairvoyant methods, automatic writing, or channeling.
As you might have guessed this is a falsity that’s meant to mimic the Holy Spirit. The negative consequence of adhering to demonic advice is severe. You are aligning yourself and your will to the plan he’s created not God’s.
If you have fallen prey to the trappings of yoga, martial arts, or Reiki. Confess your involvement, renounce the teachings, repent and remove all traces of these elements from your home, phone, and all venues where you rest.
If you elect to continue you should expect a plethora of strongholds, possible physical ailments, personality changes, and a growing presence that will seek to gain greater access and inevitable control over you and those in your home.
Evil comes for households. Not individuals. You will endanger your loved ones and subject them to the same.
