Peter Tork, of The Monkees, has died. He was 77 years old.

If it is okay, I would like to share my own story of him. I had the honor of meeting him a couple of times after the Monkees' concert and he was the sweetest person. He talked to me as if we had known each other for years. I've been an avid fan of The Monkees since 1986. I was 12 the first time I saw Peter, Micky and Davy on television. My parents use to say that it was love at first sight for me with The Monkees. I've seen them in concert many times since their 20th Anniversary tour in 1996. I've traveled across the country more than once to see them in concert. I have met them all in person and I've talked to them. I remember their kindness toward their fans. I've been their fan for 33 years.
