What are you pros and cons of being single? My pros of being single are of getting to do what I want to and when I want to,and not having to answer to anyone, and my cons are of not having someone special to spend time with, and being lonely, and thinking that no guy will want to be with me because of my disability.

Pros-- I can do whatever I want.
I can wear whatever I want
I can go wherever I want
I can eat whatever I want
I don't have to do anything
I only have to worry about me
I don't have to listen to no one else
I don't have to clean up after anyone else
I don't have to depend on anyone else
I don't have to wait on anyone else

Cons--Those darn Biscuits again... I just cant get them to turn out right!!

The pros for me are similar I can do what I want when I want, and living alone is nice because you are not dealing with the issues that come with dealing with other peoples problems or messes, etc. I also find that you have more freedom in serving the Lord and are able to do a lot more.

Cons are dealing with loneliness and feeling like there is something wrong with you and that is why you are not married. Which is sad that those thoughts occur, but they do. Also, I want to have kids and share my life with someone so that desire can sometimes make it hard.

It is also easier financially if you have someone else to share the burden with assuming you will both be working.

I’m not female - so I don’t know what it will be like for you. I know some men are castrated in the brain of their desire for women, but men who are not castrated will have the greatest problem with the lack of sex. Jesus even specifically mentions this.

If you are just worried about companionship and this has nothing to do with sex, you should be able to find companionship really easily if you are pleasant to be with. There is no need to get married for companionship or love, or to have someone to do stuff with.

Pros:
  • Freedom to pursue what I want on my own schedule.
  • Lack of problems that may come from a relationship / marriage.
  • No one to make fun of my lack-luster Italian cooking prowess. :sorry:

Cons:
  • It's just not the same enjoying activities, holidays, etc. without someone special to share them with.
  • Lack of support when trials or problems arise.
  • Constantly being reminded of what I don't have.
  • Lack of sanctification and growth that comes from that partnership (i.e. patience, unconditional love, selflessness, etc.).
  • Feelings of loneliness.

I just returned from a singles' cruise. At the last Cocktail Party, our Cruise Company Director, lined up and honored about 8 couples, now married or in a relationship, that used to be single in our group of singles. She, our director, called the couples,"success stories".Now,this company,in their mission statement, say that they are not a match-making service. Yet,she called the people, who connected with, and found someone,a success story. Now,does that mean that the rest of us singles are failures?
Especially the ones who were looking for someone?

I know plenty of married people who complain of the same things.
I bet you if these couples took Tantra lessions, sex would no longer be routine and boring to them. Please google "Tantra",and you would have a very good idea what I am talking about. For example, after they got into a fight, one partner could say to the other,"Honey, let us take deep breaths together!"
I have learned about Tantras by attending Pujas. Pujas are not only about sex. Most Puja rules have a policy of no sexual touching. Pujas can be done while both partners are fully clothed.

Pros:

- More time to pursue your interests but I figure if I find woman with similar interests, then being single isn't much of an advantage! My interests are fairly female-oriented anyhow.

Cons:

- Visiting two sets of friends and relatives, now that's going to take a bit of time!

- No one to hug at night....Having a hotdog pillow helps a lot though, lol!

You have the benefit of not having to hold in your farts. :)

Another pro is going to bed when I want to,and not hogging the covers, blanket, and having the bed all to myself.
