Catholic priest threatened with legal action after priest allegedly blocked homosexual couples from receiving communion

Spain’s Catholic Church has been accused of a hate crime after a gay mayor claimed that he had been banned from receiving communion by his priest.

Rubén García de Andrés, the Socialist mayor of Torrecaballeros, near Segovia, posted on X that the village priest had barred him from holy communion “for my sexual orientationand for living with my partner”.

And no, no one deserves holy communion, it’s not a right, and sometimes it’s best to keep them away from the sacrament for their own soul’s sake.
