Wow! When the headline screams "biased!" I mentally file it into the trash bin.

May I ask how ending DEI policy is biased?

We should all strive to treat all humankind as equal. That's what DEI is.
How can we have unity--which Republicans aspire to--without inclusion.
We need to stop thinking the only way we can succeed is if others are excluded. Let's build a world with opportunity for all (yes, I know at the moment we have the worst possible general contractor but he can be a fixer-upper, too. Right now the world is handing him his ego on a Platter. It could be an epiphany; an opportunity to transform.

Unfortunately, this very optimistic definition of DEI doesn't really match up with my experiences with how the world works. I would rather have the best & most qualified person possible in any position instead of someone who was hired because they met the desired DEI descriptions.

Too often people are assumed to.be DEI just because they fit the description.
Ketanji Jackson Brown for example.
When her education, judicial experience, and credentials were evaluated against all other 8 judges, she was more qualified than any of them.
Yet people call her DEI when she was the best of the best.
But generally minorities and women have to be more qualified to achieve the same positions.

This was the opposite of equality. This is where back students weren't disciplined the same as white students, because they were afraid disciplining black students would make them look bad. Treating them all the same was not happening. And it's the black students who were getting the short end of the stick, because they were being deprived of the discipline all children need during their development. It seems to me having gone to multiracial schools in the 70s, that students were treated more equally then than they are now.

But that was not what was happening. White males were preferentially selected over equal or better candidates BECAUSE they where white males.

It was multiple decades of reverse DEI hiring policy.

It is time to end ALL racist policies set by the federal government.

Another executive order. This will be replaced by a new executive order on January 20, 2029.

Until 2009, U.S. presidents primarily used executive orders for national security and urgent matters. President Obama was the first to use executive orders for his domestic agenda when Congress did not support it. Since then, Presidents Trump and Biden have also used executive orders for their domestic agendas, with supporters often chanting "promise made, promise kept." It may be beneficial for high school students to learn that executive orders can be revoked by the next president on their first day in office.

There is no cause for celebration here. Just as President Trump ended DEI with a single signature, the next Democratic President can implement DEI with a single signature as well. The election is only 44 months away.

I wonder if Trump is able to lead America without using Executive Orders.
I think he's at 130 in 3 months.

George W. Bush 291 ( 8 years)
Barack Obama 276 ( 8 years)
Donald Trump (first term) 220 (4 years)
Joe Biden 162 ( 4 Years)
Donald Trump (second term) 130 (4 months)

Your forgetting for MAGA Congress is purely an advisory body all power rests in Trump.

I'm not so sure Trump even sees Congress as advisory. He seems to treat them as underlings, only there to follow his orders without question.

-- A2SG, and, unfortunately, some in Congress tend to do just that....

Yes, the idea of DEI to include opportunities for others, so a multicultural multiracial nation won't look like the current org chart of the Trump administration is racist. Got it.

Really? Can you give us an example?
There are plenty. Have you not heard the complaints that DEI results in women, LGBTs and people of color being promoted over the heads of better-qualified white men?

How many times has this happened?
