Prayers for the Philippines as Super Typhoon Approaches

A typhoon will be crossing the Visayas region of the Philippines over the next 24 hours. Typhoon Odette/Rai Currently has winds of around 105mph and may strengthen to 120mph before landfall. Heavy rain is already affecting the eastern areas of the Visayas and northern Mindanao where serious flooding is expected.

Father, I pray for the Philippines and surrounding areas as this typhoon approaches. I pray that You please watch over the people in these places and help them to remain safe in this time. Keep watch over the children and their families, that they will make it through safe and for flooding to quickly recede. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Unfortunately the latest update shows now Super Typhoon Odette/Rai has strengthened to the equivalent of a Category 5 hurricane near northern Mindanao; max winds are now 160 mph.

I pray that God would protect the people in the path of this typhoon and keep them safe.
