Hi Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
I come to you with a heavy heart but one trusting in the Lord for his plans to come to pass. So I humbly ask you to please pray for my sisters newborn. He has not had a good birth and is currently in ICU. We need prayer for him and for her and her husband.
He has been deprived of Oxygen for 7-10 minutes while being born and is now suffering for a condition called HIE (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy). Basically meaning a lack of oxygen to the brain and other vital organs which cause a host of issues with the body. He has come through his first 24 hours and has been improving slowly. He is stable and his vitals have improved.
He is currently undergoing a treatment called Induced Hypothermia, where they cool the body down to a certain temperature to reduce damage to his brain, organs and body. This will be a 48 to 72 hour course which is the most critical phase right now. So me and my family humbly ask for any prayers in the name of our Powerful Lord and Saviour who is sovereign above all things. We are praying for Jesus christs will to be done and his plan to come to pass. Please keep Baby Nathanael and the family in your intercessions and prayers through this critical phase so that he might rise up one day to be a mighty Child of the Most High God, serving Him and worshipping Him Alone. Bringing much Glory to His name through this trial he is undergoing at his Birth.
