Prayer for Contentment and Trust in the Lord

Hi all, and thank you in advance.

I live in Southern California and cost of living here is incredibly high. I find myself worrying so much about finances such as rent, etc. I am in a good position now praise God, but rents are continually going up while pay doesn't.

I find myself worrying constantly, and moving isn't a realistic option right now. Working towards moving within the next few years.

I need prayer that I will be content with where God has me, and that I will trust his plan for me. It is hard not really having family or any support besides my family in Christ. Whom I do appreciate so much.

Also, praying for a better paying job with more stability and growth opportunity.

Hard to give advice without knowing family & work situation. Try taking some quiet time with God, and see what He tells you. Even if you don't get specific advice, I've found that a great sense of peace follows such prayerful silence.

I pray for discernment on this for you. I don't know what your reasons are for not moving but I pray the Lord give you guidance and opens you up to all possibilities.

What a beautiful prayer request: contentment and trust in God. Difficult circumstances can definately make it tough for us believes to be content in God but remember He is sovereign. Rest in the fact that he has control over every aspect in our lives and weaves all situations into good (Romans 8:28). I will pray that even though the situation is tough, God will supply you with peace while you trust his works.
