Hello folks, please pray for Mike, an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) who volunteers to get assigned at different events. Pray that he, his team, and the event goers are safe at the Palestinian Family Festival in Redwood City, CA with ~3000 attendees. Given all the instability and violence from mostly the pro-Palestine group, and partially the pro-Israel group, let there be peace between the two groups. Mike is an electrical engineer who is a mentor (moderator) on an online science bulletin board.

Quote from Mike: "I also have a medical shift coming up next weekend [today] that I'm a little worried about. It is a Palestinian Family Festival up in Redwood City (here in Northern California) that will have about 3000 attendees, and has had no problems in past years. But I'm worried that the political issues and protests may appear at this festival and boil over, in which case I will be one busy medic. Wish me luck!"

Guys, here is the update from Mike himself. It seems that the event on the 19th went well, and was peaceful.

Quote from Mike: "It [the Palestinian Family Festival] went okay, with no violence or even a hint. No protests that I saw, a good police presence, and medically only minor stuff (a bee sting, etc.). Unfortunately I got home pretty late, and have to get up early in the morning for the Soccer shift. Nite!"
