Please pray for my Pastor's wife...

My Pastor's wife, is having surgery tomorrow for a malignancy in her breast. She has chosen to do a bi-lateral mastectomy, which means surgical procedures to last about 6-7 hours. At this time, it is not expected that she will need chemo or radiation treatment. The recovery process lasts about six weeks with the first two weeks being the toughest. Your love and prayers will touch them day and night. Pray that they will honor Christ and be faithful in their witness in these days.

Lord, we come to You with thanksgiving for the life that You have given us in You. We also thank You for this faithful sister who has worked hard in Your name. Father, we pray that You will be with her and her husband as they go through this very hard time in their lives. Please guide the surgeons hands as they perform this intricate surgery, and help them to make all the right cuts that need to be made in order for this precious sister to live much longer and do much more work in Your name. Father, please protect her from this illness, be with her and heal her. In this we ask in Jesus' precious, mighty, and holy name, Amen

I went through this same thing...bi-lateral...15 years ago but had to have six months of chemo afterwards. Still I am just fine, cancer free, and the cancer has not returned because it is gone. Many loving persons of prayer prayed for me. God hear the prayer for healing of this servant of God...and pastor's wife. That she will have many more years of service. That she will receive the support she needs from her congregation now and in the days to follow...

Lord, I thank You from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful people here on this forum. Thank You for Your faithful prayer warriors here that will take a moment to intercede on behalf of one of their own. Lord, we thank You for Your great mercy, we thank You for Your love, we thank You for the privilege we have in being able to come to You in prayer.

Father, please heal Jeanette of this cancer, help it to be totally removed in this surgery and not to come back again. Lord, we know You can do anything, and we ask that You help the surgery to go as precisely as it should, and that she heal and recover quickly and be back to better than her normal self.

We pray that You be with Pastor Jim and their family at this very difficult time in their lives. Pastor Jim is such an awesome man in Your service, and we know that he is praying for his wife, and he loves her very deeply. Lord, we ask that You remain by their side at this time, and we ask that You do a miracle and touch the hands of the surgeon today as if you are doing the surgery.

Father, we thank You so much for hearing our prayers!! You are the God of all! Today I was able to find out an update and today Jeanette sat in a chair for two hours. The plan is to try to get her up on her feet a bit later tonight, and then walking outside of her room tomorrow. The doctor examined the areas of her surgery today, and he said they look fantastic. She has continued to take fluids, but they will be trying her on some solid food as early as tonight. She is still sleeping a lot, but when she's awake, she's asking a lot of questions, especially about her wonderful husband, our Paster Jim. She wants to be sure he is taken care of, and that's one of the many things he loves about her! Lord, we can't thank You enough for the continuing blessings of your faithful prayer warriors. Lord, we cannot thank You enough for Your watchful eyes on all the healing You are doing in our dear sister's body. Thank You, Lord. Please continue to help her to heal and the cancer to be completely gone from her. In this we ask in Jesus' holy name, Amen

Dear Lord

We thank You for Your mercy and grace on this loving couple who follow You so devoutly. We know that Jeanette is making slow but steady progress because of You. Her appetite is good, she is still on medication, and sleeps a lot. She goes to the doctor on Friday and hopefully will have the last drain tube removed. The best news of all was the result of the full pathology report; it showed that everything is clear! This was the early indication, but this report allows us to know for certain that she will not have to have treatments. Another blessing was the fact that there was some suspicious tissue present in the second breast, which confirms the decision for the bi-lateral mastectomy. We are grateful that the You led them to that precautionary decision. Father, we continue to be grateful for the love and prayers and awareness of Your providence and loving kindness to them every day. Your loving kindnesses in this family's life is immeasurable, and we praise You so much for it, Lord. Thank You, Lord. Please continue to watch over them and help them to heal from this difficult time that they had to endure. In this we ask in Jesus mighty and holy name, Amen
