If anyone would be so kind, I would like to learn "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner" in greek, latin, french, german, spanish, aramaic, hebrew; with pronunciation if possible. If you know it in any language, this would be great, or if you know a website, good, but nothing to showy, please. My computer cannot handle sites with too many animations, and detail takes long to d/l.

Thank you.

As the Romanian version of the Jesus prayer in eoe's link is incorrect, I'll put the corect one here. I've no idea where they got Criste from as that's simply bizarre (and Orthodox Romanians say Hristos, the C form being more common amongst heterodox Romanians).

Doamne Isuse Hristoase, fiul lui Dumnezeu, miluieşte-mă pe mine, păcătosul.

Bearing in mind that ă is pronounced like the a in about, this is pronounced roughly as:

dwam-neh ee-soo-seh hrist-wah-seh, fee-ool loo-ee doom-nye-zeh-oo, mee-loo-yesh-teh-ma peh meeneh, pa-ca-tos-ool.

I'd also point out that in most languages (and Romanian is no exception) the prayer has the, not a, sinner.

Hello WS,
While I have nothing to add in terms of translations, I do have both a question and a caution regarding the Jesus prayer. First the question. Why do you want to learn the Jesus prayer in languages that you do not speak? I assure you that it is equally efficacious in any language, hence the caution. The Jesus prayer is a powerful one and should be prayed woth due caution. It is generally recommended that it be prayed under the guidance of an Orthodox Spiritual director, a priest or monastic.
Christ is risen!

It is more important to me to learn this prayer in greek, latin, and possibly german, as I will be attempting to learn those languages next after somewhat perfecting my french. I have a love for languages, and the ability to communicate that knowing them brings. So if I am to learn these, I think, why not start with something good?

Thank you.

Κύριε Ιησού Χριστέ, Υιε του Θεού, ελεησέ με, τον αμαρτωλό! (Kirie Isou Christe, ie tou Theou, eleise me, ton amartolo!)

Kirie Isou Christe = Lord Jesus Christ
eleise me = have mercy on me,
ton amartolo = a sinner

This link does not work on my computer...

Both eoe's and choirfiend's links take me to a webpage, but I don't see any versions of the prayer on the page, just a chunk of white space under a heading of "Jesus Prayer Variations". I looked at the HTML source, and think the page uses some sort of Java applet. I don't have this browser set up to use Java. I thought I'd bring this up because, WS may be having a similar problem. Sounds like he also might have good reasons for not being able to view Java.
