I have a question. I've heard that Peter, namely that of 2 Peter and the book of Jude have similar quotes from the apocrypha book of 1 Enoch. Does anyone know anything about this or why it's quoted? My uncle says that basically what was recorded in Enoch was accurate which is why Peter quotes the book, but the book of Enoch itself is not reliable. Just curious if this is true or? I'm rather uncertain but want to hear others opinions.

To be sure, Peter and Jude weren't namely quoting Enoch but speaking of an event in Enoch by which it sounds as if he's quoting it (this is how my uncle explained it).

Jude Chapter 1

14. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15. To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

verse can be found in the book Enoch.

Hebrews Chapter 11

5. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

What did he do that pleased God?

It’s written in the book of Enoch, which was attached to the bible long ago. What testimony did he give that pleased God so much he never saw death, but was translated like Elijah?

It’s written in the book of Enoch.

The main reason why Enoch was removed hundreds of years ago was because preachers did not want to cause sinful people, to sin even more.

If you do not have absolute love, trust, and faith in God could sympathizing and worshipping fallen angels.

Enoch give you the names of the fallen angel, which Satanists loves. It also explains God’s just punishments of their sins, which the satanic order also love... if you sympathize with those fallen angels.

It also explains where dinosaurs come from, which Satanists hate.

Do not read it if you have do not have absolute faith and love in the Lord. There is more than enough information in the New Testament that Christ provided for us to be on road towards salvation.

The link below is also helpful for more comparison of the scripture.

Back when those boys were alive, it was considered a scriptural book.

My question is who decided it wasn't inspired but it once was for thousands of years?

If it was a false doctrine of some sort, like the book of Jasher, why not state that in the KJV and other bibles?

Why would the church remove entire books from the scriptures with no explanation? This is causing doubt, confusion, & disbelief in the church.

Well, now the decision is out of the church authorities hands. You can read it for yourself and decide whether or not the Lord has moved upon it and inspired you. God may well have allowed it to be laid aside and only let it re-surface with the dead sea scroll for such a time as this. There is the Ethiopic church which has it in their canon.

Amen to that Visionary.

Matthew Chapter 24

36. But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37. But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

42. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

The fact that seeking Christians are able to understand way more in Revelations then years past is a key sign.
