Hello! I'm new, not only to CF, but to Christianity in general. I want to get closer to God, but I don't have a community offline. I know no one in my age group that follows Christ. I'm not against befriending older Christians, but it would be nice to have Christian friends my age. People my age have been swept up into New-Age spirituality (not that I wasn't previously in that trap before turning to God), accept "casual" relationships, and are deeply in the world. I want to discuss everything that has to do with Christianity, pray for others, and be prayed for. I hope to make this forum and online home.

The Singles (Only*) is another place for young people to hang out here at CF and talk with each other. The Looking for a Church section may be helpful if you're looking for a local gathering. You could try looking for churches close to colleges and universities, or college and university campus ministries. Those also tend to have more Christian young people.

Be careful. Online, anonymous, is very often not healthy nor what it seems anywhere.
God is Wholly Holy Totally Trustworthy,
but humans are not only like dust, here today gone tomorrow,
but notorious. So , be careful, test everything, while trusting God.

Thanks for the concern. I won't treat online, anonymous interactions as anything trustworthy. Its hard to find a good church, but through Christian forums I can at least talk as much about God as I want without being called a self-righteous, Jesus-freak lol. But yes, God is the only one who can truly be trusted.

If you want you could read the Bible, and get some help understanding it. I am saying this because the Bible and the company of other believers will help you with prayer. If you can find an older Christian you want to be like, and tell them you are reading the Bible for the first time, they can pray for you as you read it. Best thing I ever did!

You don't have to tell anyone who will be mean about it.
