The Lord commanded us to not add or subtract to His commandments Deuteronomy 4:2 yet most churches teach you need to keep only 8 or 9 of the commandments or have changed the commandments to suit mans will, the opposite of what God commanded and what we were warned about in the scriptures. Daniel 7:25

Interesting. Seems it has some valid things, from a believer point of view. God does permeate all of Creation -- Psalm 139.

And, while I'd definitely free to kill animals and eat them, I'm not to be cruel to them...

It's also true that if we carelessly harm the land we all live on, it's breaking the rule Christ gave us in Matthew 7:12.

The title alone is offensive “New Ten Commandments”. God alone wrote the Ten Commandments with His own finger and we are told not to add or subtract to His commandments.

Deut 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

They have already been tampered with as one church removed the second commandment and changed the 4th commandment. When God tells us to not add or subtract to His commandments, we should believe Him If we are to believe His Word.

There is more to this story. Climate change is how they will introduce a mandatory day of rest, but it won‘t be the day God commanded us to rest found in Exodus 20:8-11. They should not be called Ten Commandments and should not be talking about Mt Sinai unless they are going to keep God’s Ten Commandments exactly the way God wrote them on Mt Sinai. This reenactment and symbolism they are using is preparing us to hear words like “New” Ten Commandments, when they have nothing to do with God’s Ten Commandments. You need to remember scripture says the devil deceives the whole world thats the majority of people! Jesus warned us not to be deceived by the many false prophets. The only way we are not deceived is by following God’s Word and His commandments the way He wrote them. Man cannot improve on the Word of God, we should always follow God over man.

It’s something the pope has already been pushing the other nations, so it’s not really a conspiracy theory if the leader of this movement has made clear their intentions.

I’m more concerned about doing God’s will over mans. We should be protecting the environment, but thats not what this is really about, there might be some elements of that in there, but it’s more about control. The devil when making his case against God in heaven with the other angles didn’t come out and say he wanted to be evil. He took some truth sprinkled with lies, which makes it a lie and if one does not have their eyes wide open grounded in the Word of God, they will be deceived, like we are told in the scriptures.

What day did God rest? The scriptures tell us ever so plainly Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Hebrews 4:4

Introducing a mandatory law of a day of rest, that is not on God's holy day of rest calling it "the Sabbath" the opposite day in which God said is a day of rest as He called all other days as working days Exodus 20:9 except the seventh day Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Hebrews 4:4. I see a problem with this and is the beginning of the end. We are told to worship God in Truth and Spirit and if we want to be in harmony with His Truth than we need to not change God's Ten Commandments.

If you're familiar with history people were persecuted for not believing the way the Romans believed. God would never require force worship because that stems from control and not love. This law seems like it's for the good of the climate, but the agenda has very little to do with climate. Its setting the stage for something much bigger.

Anyway, like you said we will probably have to agree to disagree. Once the devil makes his final play, if we do not have our eyes wide open, it will be too late. That why Jesus said as the first thing as a sign of His final coming- Luke 21:8 8 And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. We are living in the last days and need to place our trust in the Word of God.

Since the judgment includes destroying those destroy the earth, environmental compassion is always a good point to make.

Emphasizing environmental stewardship out of your theology, may result in you being identified as one of those contributing to said destruction.

I don’t see it as a re-branding of the 10 commandments. It doesn't even seem to be Christian, it says religious leaders.

It seems a good set of principles to live by, but it's no different than a lot of the new movements of today. It's humans doing what we have always done, trying to control our circumstances and ultimate fate, instead of looking to God.
