But do you know which nation is second?
It is Iraq !

However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible.

The names used in the Bible are Babylon , Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia ... The word Mesopotamia means between the two
rivers, more exactly between the Tigris
and Euphrates Rivers ..

The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel , has more history and prophecy associated with it than Iraq

Well, considering Iraq was the Rome of the Middle-East when the bible was being written, with part of the jewish exile have taken place there, we shouldn't be surprised it was written about. Places like Europe, Sub-Sahara Africa, Asia and the other parts of the world were just not part of the jewish world consciousness really.

The problem is that you are saying that present day Iraq who has absorbed all these other towns, cities and nations and are distinguished as such in the Bible are now all lumped together, using what prophecies?

Actually, you missed my point. I don't think anyone knows where the Garden of Eden is with certainty. No one can claim to "know" where this is.

Two huge geological events certainly could change the heading of these two rivers.

Ethiopia is no where near Iraq today is it? What should be looked at is what lies in the middle of these three that we can point to on the map. [FONT=Arial, Geneva, Helvetica]

Also something to look into if you are that interested in this subject would be recent satellite photos of the area, many dry, ancient river beds have been located.
