I had this dream today which gave me a lt of tension.

In this dream, my brother was dead and I think I was feeling a sense of failure and grief while I was seeing his dead body, I felt that I failed to led him to light, to let him accept Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord, and also I think I felt horrified that he will burn in Hell.

Afterwards I called to Holy Spirit to make him alive again so that he may be saved from the darkness, and I think I pleaded to the Holy Spirit over and over again to make him alive again.

Btw, I am a converted Christian from Islam, whereas my family are Muslim and don't know that I converted. I told him about Jesus Christ before, but he is so arrogant and I think he just ignored me. plz help !!!

Hi, Erfan. Welcome to the body of Christ. I want to commend you for your courage and praise God for his work in your life. I hope your journey leads you to learn about spiritual warfare. This is a tool that the Lord provided to all believers in defeating the enemy (Satan). Casting out of devils is the most visible form of spiritual warfare. I’ve had dreams like this on several occasions. It’s often an indication that the spirit of death, whether it be physical or spiritual death, is working in our midst. In the book of Revelations, God shows that Hell and Death is represented by a spirit (Rev. 6:8).

The best hope of reaching your family is to learn and conduct spiritual warfare over your family members, as Satan has put blinders on their eyes and coverings over their ears, so they don’t see and hear the Word of God.

To learn about spiritual warfare, I would recommend reading up on it. “Spiritual Warfare”, by Richard B. W. Ing is an excellent book on the subject matter.

It sounds like the dream was about your guilt for converting and not being able to "save" your family.

As a Christian, you know that you will have salvation, but it's very terrifying to think that your loved ones will not have the same.

There's nothing you can do about the guilt...I mean, other than making them convert, but you really can't force someone to change their beliefs.

Some sects of Christianity believe that all people are saved, regardless of whether or not they are Christian. But this is pretty unorthodox (I might get flamed just for mentioning it), so I don't know what to tell you about your family.

Also, generally speaking, in a dream, death normally never precedes a real death...it usually just means a big and sudden change in life.

As other said, I think the dream is merely your subconscious displaying its discontent with the fact your family didn't join you. Or perhaps since you tried so hard after the experience to change him, maybe it is giving you hope. His death implies his old life, his old beliefs...perhaps you can get to him after all with a bit more effort.

thx,
I told him about Jesus Chrsit again yesterday, we had some arguments, and I said to him to just ask God for guidance and help, to pray to God, and told him not to refer God as Allah but just say God. I think Satan is really into him, he don't even want to pray as he thinks it is a risk and then he will have no religion.
I hope that my brother and my family will see the truth and accept Jesus Christ

Hi, Erfan. That must have been frightening.

There are times when God has prompted people to pray during their dreams, and this might have been what happened. You felt the request in your heart, whether you were awake or not, so it was still you conveying your desire for your brother's release.

Ro 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Be open to any ways that God might want to work through you, wisely. We can't make people believe things they choose not to, and that is a beauty of God's relationship with us -- that He allows us many choices in life, reasons with us, and uses our prayers to springboard wonderful events and transformations.

Lord, make us vessels for Your power and love to work through us!

It's wonderful that you care so much for your family.
