My all time Favorite Commercial

I wanted to post this in News and Current events but I resisted. This is my all time favorite commercial - and you can see it by just clicking on the site below, then clicking on "Watch this in Quicktime" off on the left.

All I will say is this

a) A really kicking sound track

b) what girl doesn't fantasize just a little about her hero stepping out of the light and sweeping her off her feet.

My favorite commercial is an old 80's one in which a swimming elephant swims up to an unaware floating person on a flatform, exchanges its peanuts for a classic coke, and just swims away without the person noticing.

Dunno why its my favorite; I guess its because I like my coke

My favorite I have only seen once, it was an old timex commercial back in the days when the catch was "takes a licking and keeps on ticking". The commercial showed an elephant stepping on a timex watch, then they picked up the watch to say the catch line, the watch fell apart, literally and you hear someone in the background saying, "it worked during rehearsal". I just love that commercial.

I still like the new Quizno's commercials, I know they are new, but so bizzare to be always remembered.

A commercial for some really kickin' car stereo (I forget what brand)-- you see these two guys, they have the radio cranked up playing 'Another One Bites the Dust' (Queen) and they're grooving to it, and then the camera switches to an overhead view of the car--

It's a hearse!!!

i like that 7up commercial with that guy who goes into a quik mart thing and its being robbed but he stops all the robbers. when I watched that the first time I just cracked up.

A new one I like is the beer commercial where the guy is debating the horse and at the end he starts making up words.

I have 3 all time favs

1. I think it was for volxswagon. It was the one where G.I.Joe is crusing in a sportscar and picks up Barbie from the dreamhouse and she ditches ken.

2. The milk commercial with the old men fighting some guys in a diner. I love it when one of the old guys head butts this other guy. lol

3. Starburst commercial with a Chinese family and they are showing off the baby. The grandma is like "Jimmy come see the baby, jimmy" . Then he eats a starburst and makes a sour face and scares the baby and the grandma smacks him upside the head. lol

I just remembered another commercial I really liked.

Here in Canada, there was a TV ad for yellow pages involving a Japanese old man that was robbed. He gives a description of the suspect to the police sketch artist. The artist shows the man his sketch saying, "Is this the man that robbed you?", showing a stick figure drawing. The Japanese man was shocked then starts saying stuff to the artist like, "You're not an artist... You can't draw!" The ad then cuts to a shot of the yellow pages to show you where you could find different art schools.

I like the Volkswagen one where two college guys are driving around in a Jetta, then they pick up a chair, it smells, so they remove it, and they keep on driving around. It is not neccesarily the action that makes this commercial for me-it is the soundtrack. It was Trio's Da Da Da. Because of that commercial I found a great new German band!

I also like the new Quizno commercial where they have a surfer and bay Bob, and the surfer says, "Too bad you can't have one little kahuna", and Bob responds with a snide "Too bad you can't have one little kahuna".

Lastly, I like the new Hummer commercial with Goldilocks and the three bears.

A Coke ad that was shot in Cloverdale BC for Christmas a few years back. I even got to see them film it.
