satan is a coward? i have heard about the most violent things happend to christians when satan attacked them . i know one guy who lost a eye , satan took out his eye with his sharp fingers.

You do not combat Satan. You use your authority in Christ to rebuke Satan, and you put all of your focus on Christ, and then Satan will flee. Do not enter into an argument or a battle with a demon. Just rebuke it and expect it to leave in Jesus' name.

You have to submit to God's commandments, and live by His Word, and Jesus will overcome Satan for you in your life.
Use the name of Jesus, and focus on Scripture. Speak verses like Jesus did in Matthew 4:1-11. Not for the purpose of attacking the spirit, but for the purpose of submitting to God. Jesus has already overcome Satan for us, now what you need to do is trust in Him and stand in that victory. Satan has no power over a Christian unless we give him a foothold by sinning or holding on to his lies. But Truth will set you free.

It's not just about what words to use. Our words have no power unless we believe. It's about faith, and it's about whether we walk in the flesh or in the Spirit, and whether we keep our eyes on Christ.

The goal is to grow closer to Christ, and to become as Christ-like as possible, being cleansed and sanctified by His Word. Loving God with all of our hearts, soul, strength and mind. All trials are there to strengthen us in Christ, to help us rely on Him more and more.

If you start having a debate with a demon, just remember that! Keep your eyes on Christ, and do what He did. Mark 1:34 the demons know who you belong to.

We aren't supposed to argue with them, and if we do, we are disobeying God, which is rebellion, and then we will face the consequences. (I speak from experience, unfortunately). I suppose that is what happened to your friend.

Just rebuke them! Take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ, always. Have no fellowship with darkness, which includes demons. If all else fails, say "Lord rebuke you!" and God's angels will protect you. They always are.

Satan can do nothing to you unless it is cleared by God. So yes God can test you. And does. But hell is for ever, loosing a eye is temporary. In heaven you can't loose anything. We live not for this world, we live for the kingdom of god.

You cannot use physical violence against him. That is why you need Christ. This isn't a one on one battle against a demon. Just rely on Christ. If the name of Jesus doesn't work, nothing will.
