Seven Woes to the Scribes and Pharisees
Jesus Speaks to the Multitude of Jews
Mat 23:1 Then spoke Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
- Mat 13:34 All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not unto them: Mat 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
- Mat 14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Mat 14:20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. Mat 14:21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.
- Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Mat 22:33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
- Opinion: Everything Jesus did was to help the multitude listening to him, gave them secrets from the foundation of earth, feed them, and spoke true doctrine to them.
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit (position) in Moses' seat:
- Exo 3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. Exo 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. Exo 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off your shoes from off your feet for the place where on you stand is holy ground.
- Num 7:89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spoke unto him.
- Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Mat 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
- Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (1st half of tribulation), clothed in sackcloth. Rev 11:4 These (Moses and Elias) are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing (position) before the God of the earth.
Mat 23:3 All therefore what so ever they (scribes & Pharisees) bid you (Jews) observe, that observe and do (obey their authority); but do not you (Jews) after their works: for they say, and do not (Hypocrite).

Verily I say unto you, They (hypocrites) have their reward.
