"Mary had a little lamb" and Jesus

Have you noticed the similatities of the nursery rhyme "Mary had a little lamb" and Jesus? Just read the lyrics.



Mary (mother of Jesus) had a little lamb (Jesus)
Its fleece was white as snow (what happens when Jesus forgives us)

And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb was sure to go (Jesus will never leave our side)

It followed her to school one day
Which was against the rules (Jesus is not allowed in school)

It made the children laugh and play,
To see a lamb at school (Jesus loves all the children in the world)

And so the teacher turned it out,
But still it lingered near (again, Jesus will never leave our side, no matter what we do)


I just wanted to point that out, I thought it was pretty cool.
