I have recently been interested in studying the bible in depth. I do read commentaries, but was wondering if there are bible classes online that has a structured format. I am talking of classes that discuss the "who, what, when, where, and why" of scriptures. It would be a plus if others where included, including the psychology, anthropology, and things like that where discussed.
It doesn't matter that I get a degree or a title. It is mostly for academic studies. Commentaries can only give you a perspective, but not enough depth that I would love.
Another great one is great free online bible study groups where you can have open discussion. I found I learn a lot when I have discussion. That's what we do on Sunday's at the beginning of service. We have open discussions of the lesson they give us per week. It's just I want more than one day per week of it! I hunger for more of God's Word and to share / discuss it with others in a structured format. I hope this makes sense!
