Sorry in advance but I will not be replying to any repsonses here as I would just like to read people's opinions, so I hope that is okay. Of course if anyone here would like to discuss in the thread that is fine but again I will not be replying. Basically I was looking online and in general I was not able to come accross many Christian opinions of Netflix's Witcher series and so I thought I would post here if it is the right place to ask. There were some of the games, including on this forum but none of the series itself. So basically what are your opinions on Netflix's Witcher series? Do you agree or disagree with it? Whichever answer it is I'd be interested to know. Thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to reply! I'm really interested to hear what people have to say!

So I’m not familiar with it..... I looked it up on plugged in and read some reviews on it and I guess it’s full of sex scenes and gore etc. Sounds like something I don’t need to get into.

There is occasional female nudity. Occasional sex scenes. Neither are "glorified" in any way. It's a very detailed storyline with a lot of dialogue on ever changing groups. The "powers" that any characters have are inconsistently applied.
Most obvious is that "Witcher" has some powers to "blast" foes....but more often fistfights than not. This adds much more action than you might expect for every fight scene. He delivers his lines in the most emotionally detached of any character, ever.
He usually just says......."Hmmm" after a couple minutes of listening to somebody drone on, developing some obscure part of the story.

The production values are very high, the story, very detailed. The visuals, very tame.

The development of "magic" is very minor. It's more like "X-Men" in that regard.

Hi Yeshuaslavejeff, For some reason the inital reply you posted on this thread isn't showing up for me but I'll answer your questions to set a few things straight. The intent of this post was not to harvest information, I'm simply one girl who lives at home and my parents don't want me to watch this series. So I'm respecting their wishes but I still wanted to know what other christians think. As for why I said I would not reply - it may seem rude but I simply don't always wish to get into discussions with people and I didn't want to have to feel obligated to reply as I know what I can be like. Anyway I hope this clears things up and I'm sorry if this has offended anyone.

It's based on a video game series, which is based on the books. I haven't read the books or played the games. But I have seen alot of the game online in videos and its full of gore, nudity, swearing, sorcery/witchcraft, occult...etc. It's why I didn't play the game.

I imagine the series on TV is no different. Basically Game of Thrones.
