Will a major earthquake devastate the midwestern United States in the near future meaning sometime in the next several years ? Will financial catastrophe strike ?

This is a fair question. John Kilpatrick had a dream and also a vision which are both being interpreted as meaning that unless The United States repents that God is going to send judgment in the form of a major earthquake.

When asked to place a time frame , John's Kilpatricks official statement was that no exact time frame was revealed to him. But his feeling was that these warnings were concerning the near future meaning the next several years.

You can find the exact text of the dream and the vision several places. Here is the text from John Kilpatrick's own website.

The Vision
Sunday , April 27 , 2008

As I was approaching the Daphne Civic Center for Sunday morning service at Church of His Presence, I had a vision which lasted for about two or three seconds. In this vision, I saw the ground buckling before me. It was so real that I
actually moved aside to avoid what I was seeing. I knew immediately that it was an earthquake, and the thought
crossed my mind that the damages of this earthquake could have the potential to exceed those of Hurricane Katrinaof 2005.
Please understand that I am not saying that the Lord told me this. It merely crossed my mind.

The Dream
Tuesday , May 20 , 2008

I awoke trembling and shaking at 5:00 in the morning after having a startling dream. This was one of the three most profound dreams that I have ever had during the ministry the LORD has called me to. I feel that this dream is an
addendum to the vision I had on April 27, 2008. In this dream I saw the words wind and water. I only saw the words
but did not actually see any wind or water damage. I then found myself overlooking a river which instantly became so
wide that I could no longer see either of its banks. The dream then shifted, and I was with one of my parishioners
running through what appeared to be an old abandoned school house. This empty building began to shake. The shaking was so violent and severe that it was like the bucking of a wild horse tossing us around. My teeth were clapping so hard from the impact that I tried to clinch them to prevent this from happening. In this dream I knew I was experiencing a
massive earthquake. The sounds were so catastrophic that the thought crossed my mind that the devastation could likely exceed Hurricane Katrina of 2005. I did not see the devastation behind me; I only heard it. In all of my life I have never heard such catastrophic sounds. These were the scariest sounds I have ever heard. The dream then shifted once more and concluded with two names on what appeared to be an old Spanish map. One name read Indianola and the other
Europa. When I awoke, I was shaking as if I had chills and fever. I could not stop trembling. All through the day I felt as if I had just had the dream 10 minutes ago. This dream so shook me that my wife and I immediately went to the internet to do some research. I also contacted some close friends in the ministry and reliable intercessors concerning this dream. What we found was startling. There are towns called Indianola, IL, Europa, MO, and Indianola, MS. These towns run in a line from North to South with Europa, MO being near the middle of them. The Mississippi River runs between them with Europa, MO being by the epicenter of the New Madrid fault. After seeing this, I believe the dream could be concerning a
devastating earthquake on the New Madrid fault. Many reputable friends in ministry have felt that this dream was not to
be interpreted as a spiritual dream because they felt that it has literal implications. Even now, two days later the intensity of this dream is the same. I do not want to come across as an alarmist concerning what I saw. I also don’t want to put
fear in the public or the Body of Christ. However, I cannot help but feel that God gave me this as warning to prepare us
for the days ahead and to pray concerning this matter. Please know that I did not see any time frame as to when this
may happen. Please pray with me concerning this vision and dream.

From Prepare The Way Ministries website.

Prepare the Way Ministries International - New Madrid Mercy

On May 11-22, 2009, we led a team of intercessors from New Orleans to the Canadian border asking for mercy over the heart of America. Hundreds of intercessors joined, met, and supported us in this effort. A complete report of that assignment can be found here

When I returned home after spending twelve days crying out for Mercy for our nation someone sent me an email with Sid Roth interviewing John Kilpatrick concerning the vision he had.

I began to be deeply burdened, if ever there was a region that would need mercy, it would be this New Madrid region in the heart of America.

I believe the Lord is looking for a response from His people when such warnings are given, so I began to ponder this word and believe God for a proper response and strategy to this alarming prophetic word.

John had mentioned in the Sid Roth interview that he believed the earthquake was connected with the dividing of Israel and that if the United Stated led the way in dividing Israel, our nation would be divided.

Obadiah 1:15 "The day is near when I, the Lord, will judge all godless nations. As you have done to Israel, so it will be done to you. All your evil deeds will fall back on your own head." The corresponding scripture is Genesis 12:3, "I will bless those who bless you (Israel), and I will curse him who curses you, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

After counseling with Jim Chosa and other trusted friends. We believed the strategy of the Lord was to carry Israel first and foremost in our hearts and ask for mercy for her, and ask that those who would divide her to be divided, so they couldn’t execute any strategy to divide Israel.

At the same time we would repent for the deep divisions within the church and the divisions among the Messianic streams.

There are all kinds of reactions to this kind of public statment from a well known minister like John Kilpatrick.

Also from prepare the way ministries website...

Prepare the Way Ministries International - New Madrid Mercy

Cindy Jacobs word to James Nesbit September 18, 2009-

“And the Lord says, you will take the sword of the Lord and cut the Leviathan spirit that stretches along the New Madrid fault, you have begun, but the Lord says that in the ground is the root of anti-Semitism and the, yeah, that’s it, that’s it! And the root of anti-Semitism is the root of the religious spirit that is stopping the move of God, so the Lord says I am putting the sword in your hand to cut asunder the anti-Semitic Spirit that lets that religious spirit live says the Lord!”

Tecumseh-
In early 1811, Tecumseh traveled to villages in the Midwest and the South, urging them to join the Shawnees in their quest to regain their property. He spoke to the Apaches, the Sioux Nation and the Alabama people. Many warriors joined his tribe, although they doubted they would succeed. One Alabama tribe who camped by the Mississippi held Tecumseh in contempt.

Snow fell early that year. The Shawnee Chief told the Alabamas that when he returned to his homeland in Detroit, he would stomp on the ground and their wigwams would tumble down. They treated him with mockery.

Tecumseh’s curse or, perhaps, prophecy, appeared to be fulfilled several weeks later.

On December 16th, the worst earthquake in US history stuck. Its epicenter was close to the Missouri town it was named after. Wigwams and homes Kansas City to Cincinnati were shaken. The earth inundated farms and towns. The loss of lives is unknown. Estimates varied from several hundred to thousands. The Mississippi River actually flowed backward swamping boats.

Some of the Alabamas believed Tecumseh stomped his feet making the earth shake while others thought he predicted the quake.

Dream of Tecumseh- October 5, 2009
The morning we began the journey while en route to Europa, MO we received word that an intercessor had a dream of Tecumseh earlier in the morning. Tecumseh had a python as a walking stick, his hands were controlling the snake’s jaws, and he had one hand controlling the upper jaw and the other hand controlling the lower.

Tecumseh had extremely long curled toenails that were digging in and releasing poisonous venom into the ground.

Umbilical cord-

Another intercessor had sent word that she had been praying over for several days that we were to cut umbilical cord. I had a sense that this was to do with the mound structures connected to any Mayan root system.

The U.S. is about to be inundated with catastrophe advertising concerning the movie 2012. We believe that a portion of this assignment was to disconnect any life-giving root so this movie would not have the impact intended with the release of fear and demonic agreement with a doomsday scenario.

John Kilpatrick: "An EARTHQUAKE VISION and DREAM of the NEW MADRID FAULT"

From the desk of Steve Shultz:

It's extremely rare for me to break a hard-and-fast rule. I simply don't post many "disaster" words.

One reason is that they've poured in by the thousands over the years and RARELY come to pass.

"Why break the rule now?" you may ask.

My answer is simple. When I receive a new word--if it's not fear-based in its presentation and if it includes named people who have developed a known name for character, accuracy, carefulness and have love for the Body of Christ as they exercise the prophetic gift within them--and if there are enough confirming words by people seeing the same thing, then I consider posting the word.

But here is your caveat...

No matter how many people suggest that a prophecy MAY be true, even if they are highly-known names, it's still up to each and every single INDIVIDUAL to discern for themselves if a given word is true. This much I can guarantee you...

Pastor Kilpatrick wants to share with his partners and friends the following vision and dream he had in April and May 2008. He has never posted a vision or dream on the internet, but after talking with some close friends, intercessors, as well as those in prophetic ministry he has agreed to do so. His intentions are not to alarm the Church or the public, but to forewarn us to pray concerning what he has seen. At this time, we do not have the full revelation or meaning of this vision and dream, but know that the Lord is trying to warn us and prepare us for the days ahead. Please help us pray to the Lord concerning this matter.

The dream and vision are posted.

About John Kilpatrick:

John Kilpatrick pastored Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, FL for 22 years. During his tenure there, he had the privilege of pastoring the Brownsville Revival which began on Father's Day of 1995. Currently, he is the founder and senior pastor of Church of His Presence in Daphne, AL and president of John Kilpatrick Ministries. In addition to pastoring, he continues to preach across the nation and fulfill his apostolic call to mentor and pastor other ministers.

We'll see. I love it when “prophets” make these kinds of documented predictions. It's easy to determine when they are true or false prophets. It's a rule as old as scripture:
20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. I agree, besides, why wouldn't God sound the alarm through other so called prophets? He was very clear on Sid, two more years, and it was going to happen. Besides, we have been hearing abour America "repenting" for decades now.

Hello Jim (aka solider of the cross)

I agree a little wisdom goes a long way when speaking of today's modern prophets.

In order to have wisdom first you have to have knowledge (google and read the blogs for and against this particular prophet)

Notice Mr Kilpatrick has been wrong before during the revival at Brownsville when he was the senior pastor in charge and got very mad (angry) at one particular bible answer man and prophesied that the man would die for being against his revival.

The man didn't die, but the Brownsville revival came to it's end shortly after that prophecy.

Mr Kilpatrick gave his blessings on the stage (live on God tv in June 2008) to the Lakeland, Florida healing revival and three weeks later the revivalist TB was too embarrassed by an ABC late night news show asking for the proof of at least three healings.

TB had the world by the tail, but he couldn't prove that he or God had healed anyone. One lady ABC called said that she felt better.

TB never surfaced as a true leader of the revival movement again.

Dirt is all you get when you google him and it's so bad it's a sin to argue the matter anymore.

The second thing you need to have wisdom (after knowledge) is understanding.

You know to put gas in the car before a long trip and you understand what will happen if you don't fill up before you leave.

Wisdom has to include knowledge and understanding before you can exercise it.

Prophets must be subject to the spirit of the other prophets ...

You are wasting your time to fret over this prophecy ...

Let those with understanding chime in ...

Most Y2k food has gone bad by now ... not that you should not be ready, but don't be afraid when a false prophecy is repeated.

Funny how false prophets forget that what they have already prophesied has not yet come true, at least in the time frame they have stirred us up for.

I know many prophecies in the bible have not come true yet, but they will and the Lord used good strong men to deliver them.

Most were humbled by cooking on cow dung in their underwear or besieged by surrounding enemy armies

Let this post not inflame you, but inform you ... :amen:

thanks for this link. I'm pretty sure I stirred up the multiple prophetic voice thing, which I'm kinda regretting. Careless words.

I haven't read any yet, but skimming over the titles I find it interesting that Ann Peterson saw a vision where the land was split in two. When a bunch of people start hearing the same thing, it catches my attention. This is how I've grown in hearing His Voice. I hear stuff, and then when I hear others proclaim that they've heard the same thing, it confirming to me. And then I know I've heard correctly. That's kinda what I meant in my original statement about waiting for other prophetic voices to speak about this really "big" thing. But, it's not a guarantee that God would do that I guess. Multiple voices are not necessary for authenticity, I don't think anyway. (Something I should research before I cause more confusion!)

With that said, I rarely get connected to things that others are proclaiming without the personal words first....until everyone starts proclaiming the same thing; then it's hard to ignore.

Thanks again for the above resource.
