Guys, remember floppy disks? I was a little too young for that, but I do remember my parents old 1999 HP Pavilion that I used for educational CD-ROM games in the mid-2000s had a floppy disk slot. Japan used floppy disks for internal government operations up until this year. Crazy stuff, that an obsolete technology that was last made during the early 2010s has been in use for decades in Japan.

"It's taken until 2024, but Japan has finally said goodbye to floppy disks. Up until last month, people were still asked to submit documents to the government using the outdated storage devices, with more than 1,000 regulations requiring their use."
