In my study of scripture over the years I have learned that chapter and verse numbers at times can have a variety of spiritual and prophetic meanings. And in this article I will discuss several of these numbers that appear to represent the years of the tribulation from 2031 to 2038. But before we examine the tribulation scriptures here are few examples of chapter and verse numbers that have symbolic meanings.
Deuteronomy 13:13 that certain worthless fellows have gone out among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which you have not known,
Proverbs 13:13 Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded.
6 represents sinful mankindGenesis 6:6 And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.
Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
666, the enemies of God who take the mark of the beastIsaiah 66:6 "The sound of an uproar from the city! A sound from the temple! The sound of the LORD, rendering recompense to his enemies!
John 6:66 After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.
Jesus resurrection in 32 A.D.Genesis 15:17 (15+17=32 AD) When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces.
Gen 15:17 is a prophecy for Jesus (the flaming torch) completing the covenant with his Father (the smoking fire pot) as he shed his blood on the cross when it became dark for 3 hours, Matthew 27:45.
The Passover meal on the 15th of Nisan is symbolic for Jesus, the Lamb of God who died for our sins, and the 17th is when He was resurrected represented by the chapter and verse numbers in Gen 15:17 that add up to 32 AD.
Exodus 32:32 (Moses said to God) But now, if you will forgive their (Israel's) sin --but if not, please blot me out of your book that you have written."
In Exodus 32:32 Moses is prophetic for Jesus who was judged as sinful mankind and blotted out of the book when he shed his blood on the cross for our sins in 32 AD, 2 Cor 5:21.
Psalms 83:4-5 They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!" (5) For they conspire with one accord; against you they make a covenant--
I believe Psalms 83 is prophetic for the beginning of the tribulation at 83 years from 1948 in 2031, when the 7 year false covenant of peace will be confirmed between Israel and the surrounding nations that are plotting to destroy the Jews, Daniel 9:27.
In Psalms 90:4, the thousand years that are but as yesterday and is past is prophetic for the 2,000 year gospel age that has been completed. The watch in the night in scripture is symbolic language for the spiritual darkness of the tribulation, Lamentations 2:19, Mark 13:33-35.
Psalms 90:3-7 You return man to dust and say, "Return, O children of man!" (4) For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night. (5) You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning: (6) in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers. (7) For we are brought to an end by your anger; by your wrath we are dismayed.
Psalms 90:5-7 speaks of God's wrath that will sweep wicked mankind away as with a flood that's similar to the worldwide flood in the days of Noah. Therefore Psalms 90 is prophetic for God's worldwide judgment of unbelieving mankind when the tribulation ends at 90 years from 1948 in 2038.
2.Peter 3:8 = 2038The only other verse in the Bible that says a thousand years are as a day is 2 Peter 3:8 when God judges the ungodly at the end of the tribulation in 2038.
Psalms 83 through 100 chronologically represents the 7 years of tribulation, the judgment of the nations, and the 1000 year millennial reign of Christ.
The wrath of the Lamb begins in 2033The wrath of God that begins after 2 years of tribulation is revealed when Joseph made himself known to his 11 brothers after 2 years of famine in Egypt (Gen 45:6), which is prophetic for when Jesus seals the 12 tribes of 12,000 after 2 years of tribulation in 2033 just as the wrath of the lamb begins in Rev 6:16-17. And verse 16+17 that equals 33 is another clue for God's wrath that will begin in 2033.
Wrath that's mentioned twice in Ezekiel 20:33 and 20:34 is also confirming 2033 when God's wrath will begin in the last 5 years of the tribulation.
4 blood moons will appear in 2032 and 2033 before the day of the LordThe moon turning to blood in Joel 2:31 and 2:32 before the great day of the Lord is prophetic for 2031 and 2032, when millions of people in the tribulation will call on Jesus to be saved when 4 blood moons will appear in 2032 and 2033, just before God's wrath begins in 2033.
Luke 2:30-32 for my eyes have seen your salvation (31) that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, (32) a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel."
Luke 2:38 appears to be referring to 2038 when Jerusalem will be redeemed by Jesus at the end of the tribulation.
Luke 2:38 And coming up at that very hour she (Anna) began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 31:31-38In 2031 the two witnesses will begin to declare the New Covenant to Israel in the first year of the tribulation, and its interesting that the New Covenant is mentioned in Jeremiah 31:31.
Jeremiah 31:31 (2-31's, or 2031) "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,
As I said Jesus will seal the 12 tribes of 12,000 in 2033 when he will write his law on their hearts. And this may be hidden within Jeremiah 31:33.
Jeremiah 31:33 (2033) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
When the tribulation ends in 2038 the city of Jerusalem will be rebuilt and it shall not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever. And this is spoken of in Jeremiah 31:38-40.
Jeremiah 31:38-40 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when the city shall be rebuilt for the LORD from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate........(40) The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be sacred to the LORD. It shall not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever."
Ezekiel 38Ezekiel 38 when God destroys Israel's enemies could also be symbolic for 2038. And Ezekiel.38:20 might be a reverse numerical clue for 2038, when all the people on the face of the earth shall quake at Jesus presence when he returns.
Ezekiel 38:20 The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground.
Psalms 119:119 = 238Psalms 119:119, or 119+119 that equals 238, is another possible numeric clue for God's judgment of the wicked at the end of the tribulation in 2038.
Psalms 119:119 All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross, therefore I love your testimonies.
At the end of the tribulation in 2038 the beast will try to make war with Jesus and his army of saints when he returns to save Israel, and this is mentioned in Revelation 19:19.
Revelation 19:19 (19+19 = 38, or 2038) And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.
2 Kings 19:19 (19+19 = 38, or 2038) So now, O LORD our God, save us, please, from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, O LORD, are God alone."
Exodus 19:19 (19+19 = 38, or 2038) And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder.
The scriptures in Genesis 7:1 and Esther 7:1 are symbolic for the beginning of the tribulation (the feast of Trumpets).
Genesis 7:1 Then the LORD said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.
In Genesis 7:1, Noah who entered the ark could be prophetic for the rapture of the righteous saints at the beginning of the tribulation.
In Esther 7:1, The King, Esther and Haman who went into the feast is prophetic for the beginning of the tribulation when God, the raptured bride of Christ and Satan are in the time of 7 year tribulation (the feast of Trumpets).
Amos 7:1 is another scripture that appears to be symbolic for the rapture of the saints (the king's share) as the tribulation begins.
Amos 7:1 This is what the Lord GOD showed me: behold, he was forming locusts (tribulation judgment) when the latter growth (wheat crop-tribulation saints) was just beginning to sprout, and behold, it was the latter growth after the king's share (the first fruits of the barley crop-the rapture of the wise virgins).
Genesis 7:10 is prophetic for the wicked that will be judged by God at the end of the tribulation represented by Yom Kippur in the 7th month 10 day, Psalms 90:5.
Genesis 7:10 And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.
In Esther 7:10, Haman who was hanged for plotting to kill all the Jews is prophetic for Satan's defeat when Jesus returns to save Israel at the end of the tribulation on Yom Kippur.
Esther 7:10 And the king said, "Hang him on that." So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the wrath of the king abated.
