Is Testament a Christian Band? Are They Satanic?

Alright I asked for a list of metal bands that weren't satanic and Testament was on it. First impression to me is saying otherwise, but does anybody know if they are satanic, or along those lines?

I'm pretty sure they're not, although there are satanic themes in their songs. Singing about something isn't the same as worshipping it. Besides, it's music...

What Opethian said. I'm pretty sure they just have satanic subjects in their song rather then actually being Satanic worshippers. I would not go as far to call them Christian metal though by any means.

I doubt it, most Satanic bands arent truly Satanic.

I am pretty sure they were a little satanic when they were the Legacy. Not sure now though...

Good band though! Saw them live in 2002!

As a Christian and a huge Testament fan, I can tell you Testament are 100% NOT satanic. AT ALL.

i can`t say the band itself is satanic, but their lyrics have become dark with their last few albums.some of the lyrics do tread into satanic themes.

I know nothing about this band so I will not judge them. However, I will say this. If something brings glory to satan, that makes it satanic, regardless of whether or not the band is actually intentionally worshipping satan.

Even Fuel has a song that starts with "Satan, you know where I lie". Though in that song, Satan is an enemy. BTW, that song, "Innocent", is awesome!

i think Testament are awesome. i dont think they are satanic. i will be seeing them live in Sydney in 3 weeks
